The best garden

Zhishan garden covers an area of more than 20000 square meters. The red brick floor in front of the garden and the drum and lion are in opposition. Under the carved out "Zhishan garden", the scenery inside the gate is simple and natural. The water of Yunshan lake makes people feel at ease. The design of the garden is based on Wang Xizhi's "the best running script in the world", including eight scenic spots: Orchid Pavilion, cage goose, liuqiaoqushui, Biqiao West waterside pavilion, Xibi pool and Huabiao He, Liu'an Tingying and SONGFENG Pavilion fully express the Chinese garden style landscaping art.

The best garden

Zhishan park is located in front of the Palace Museum, covering an area of about 7000 square meters. It was built in 1985. The pattern design of Zhishan garden is based on "the best running script in the world" written by Wang Xizhi. Eight scenic spots: Lanting, cage goose, Qushui Liuqi, SONGFENG Pavilion, Shuixie, Biqiao West, Xibi pool, and Zhaohe Tingying.

Zhishan garden is located next to the Palace Museum in Shilin District of Taipei city. It covers an area of about 7000 square meters. According to Wang Xizhi's best running script, it is like the inner courtyard of the museum.

The design blueprint of Zhishan garden is Wang Xizhi's eight famous sceneries: Orchid Pavilion, cage goose, Qushui Liuqi, SONGFENG Pavilion, Shuixie, Biqiao West, Xibi pool, and Zhaohe Tingying. It fully shows the exquisite and elegant landscape art, and has a good tour with Chinese garden and scholarly atmosphere, which often makes people think of the ancient.

Among them, the Orchid Pavilion imitates the real scene of Shaoxing Orchid Pavilion in Zhejiang Province, and its appearance is octagonal. Beside the pavilion stands a famous black stone engraved with the preface of Orchid Pavilion. In addition, there are song and Ming costumes for rent beside the gate for tourists to wear and take photos to try the life of the ancients.

Introduction to scenic spots

Pine wind Pavilion

SONGFENG Pavilion is two stories high. The wooden beams and pillars are carved with dragons and phoenixes. When you climb the top of the stone ladder, you can have a panoramic view of the strange mountains and waters in the garden. The pavilion is decorated with Qin platforms and high candles, which make you feel more nostalgic.

Flowing cup and winding water

It was an interesting activity in ancient times when people gathered together. The water is drawn from the mountain with moderate water potential, which is used for tourists to exile ear cup and experience the leisure of ancient people holding cup for drinking.

Pen washing pool

It is said that Zhang Zhi wrote a book in linchi in the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the pen washing pool, the water in the pool is all ink, so it is named "pen washing pool". The level of Yihong pool is as clear as a mirror. When you see it, you suddenly feel bright.

Cage goose

Based on the life anecdotes of Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it is found that Xizhi, a good goose, traded his own ink treasure for a cage goose from a Taoist, which reveals the personality of the literati.

Dragon pool

The presence of a dragon in the pool symbolizes the dragon's power to reach heaven and earth and to give rain. Playing with mandarin ducks is also a scene in the garden, with Yangbo on the water and fish swimming in the pond. It's a peaceful atmosphere.

The main entrance of Zhishan Garden

The wooden garden door is made of spruce wood more than 1500 meters long. Under the eaves of the door are inlaid with hollowed out wood ornaments similar to those of Zhishan garden, all of which are hand carved. In front of the door is a stone talent holding a drum lion.

Lanting

In the ninth year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (353 AD), Wang Xizhi, Xie an and other famous people wrote "preface to Lanting collection" by drinking and writing poems. There are round table drum stool, Chinese rosefinch bronze lamp in "Orchid Pavilion" for tourists to gather.

Biqiao River Pavilion

Wu Ju of the Southern Song Dynasty wrote a poem: "the willow on the bridge goes down the blue river.". The waterside pavilion faces the water and is gentle and cheerful. There are six curved bridges crossing the water and connecting with the opposite bank. It's a wonderful place in the world.

Bus: take bus 101, 213, 255, 304, minibus 18, minibus 19, ZTE Chongqing, and get off at the Palace Museum Station. Driving: from Shilin or Dazhi to waishuangxi, you can reach the Palace Museum on Zhishan road.
