Zhijin cave is a multi-level and multi type karst cave. It is 6.6km long, 175 meters wide at the widest, and 150 meters high. The whole cave has a volume of 5 million cubic meters. There are more than 40 kinds of cave deposits, such as stalagmites, stone pillars, stone buds and stone flags, forming a variety of karst landscapes. There are crisscross tunnels, four stone peaks, running water, intermittent ponds and underground lakes. It is known as "karst treasure" and "cave wonder". More than 40 kinds of karst deposits show some main types of karst caves. The Zhijin cave is the essence of the scenic spot. It is a treasure house of huge size and peculiar shape in China.
Zhijin cave is characterized by its large scale, various forms and various colors. The length of the cave is 12.1km, the relative height difference is more than 150m, the widest span has been explored is 175m, the general width and height are 60 ~ 100m, the total area is more than 700000 square meters, the average height of the deposits is about 40m, the highest is 70m, covering more than 40 kinds of accumulation forms of karst cave deposits all over the world, showing a thousand dry weather and unlimited scenery.

Cause of formation
Zhijindong is a subtropical humid monsoon climate region, which is located in the South Bank of Jianhe Canyon in the upper reaches of Wujiang River in China. It is a high-level dry karst cave formed by neotectonic movement, block uplifting and river undercutting. It was formed about 500000 years ago and experienced the late Early Pleistocene to middle late Pliocene. Due to the complex and changeable geological structure, the cave has the characteristics of multi pattern, multi-stage and multi type development.
