Introduction to scenic spots
MacLehose trail is a 100km long hiking trail running through the country park. This ten section hiking trail spans high mountains, leaving people unforgettable experience of outing and pleasure of hiking.
Located in the new territories, MacLehose path spans most of the territory of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Here we can see the most varied and beautiful countryside of Hong Kong. The trail starts in the winding wilderness on the east bank, passes through a series of mountains in the middle, including the highest peaks in Hong Kong, and ends in the fascinating river valleys and reservoirs in the West.
MacLehose path connects eight country parks, including Sai Kung East (4477 HA), Sai Kung West (3000 HA), Ma On Shan (2880 HA), Lion Rock (557 HA), Jinshan (337 HA), Shing Mun (1400 HA), Tai Mo Shan (1440 HA) and Tai Lam (5370 ha).
Clear signs have been installed on the whole MacLehose path, but most public transport vehicles can cross MacLehose path.
MacLehose path is divided into ten sections, ranging in length from 5 to 16 km, most of which are about 10 km long. It starts from North Tam Chung, bypasses the Saigon Peninsula, turns to the west, reaches Kowloon hills, starts from Shing Mun, goes north to Tai Mo Shan, and then goes West to Tuen Mun. Except that some of the sections are concrete level roads, most of the MacLehose paths are built according to the mountain situation. Only a small part of them are laborious and difficult to walk, and the rest are mostly easy to do.
Clear road signs have been installed throughout the MacLehose trail. Country park facilities are also provided at traffic junctions. Although there is a distance between the starting point of some sections and the landing point of public transport, most public transport vehicles can reach MacLehose path.
There is a sign post every 500 meters along MacLehose path, with a total of 200 sign posts. In particular, the third, fourth, seventh and eighth sections are all continuous and rugged mountain roads, hundreds of meters straight up and down.

Travel strategy
Every year in early November, a charity fund-raising event called "Trailwalker" is held in Hong Kong. Participants are required to complete the 100 km mountain road in 48 hours in groups of four. The first is warming up. The importance of warming up cannot be underestimated. At the beginning of a few times, because I didn't pay attention to it, I suffered a big loss and often had cramps on the road.
Probably judging whether a hiker has experience or not depends on whether he attaches importance to warm-up.
The key to warm up is to run the muscles and veins of big and small legs. Try to pull the muscles for a few minutes at a time until the tendons are sore, and then come back. After the muscle and pulse marathon, you can bear the fierce movement of going up and down the mountain.
And make good use of the break time to stretch. At the beginning, I was inexperienced. Because I was very tired, I was very tired every time I had a break
