The Hong Kong Flower Show is an exhibition organized by the leisure and Cultural Services Department. As a key project to promote horticultural and greening awareness, it is held in March every year. The flower exhibition shows flowers from all over the world. There are potted plants, flower decorations and landscape designs cultivated by local, mainland and overseas horticultural institutions. There are also stalls selling flowers and other horticultural products.
Before 1999, the Hong Kong Flower Show was jointly organized by the Urban Council and the Regional Council, and was held annually in Sha Tin Park and Victoria Park in turn. It was not until 2000 that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government "killed" the bureau that the leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) held it in Victoria Park every year.
