Location and architecture
Located in Kowloon Park, Yau Tsim Mong District, Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, formerly known as s61 and S62 barracks on Wai Fei Road, was completed in 1910. In 1970, the barracks was converted into Kowloon Park. These two buildings became temporary sites of the Hong Kong Museum of history in 1983 and moved out in 1998. Since then, these two buildings have been vacant. The later restoration projects have become the heritage discovery Museum of today's antiquities and monuments office, which was officially opened in October 2005. There are special exhibition hall, lecture hall, educational activity room and reference library.
