Qingsong Temple originated in zhibaotai, Guangzhou. In the winter of 1949, Lu zushi ordered that "the altar should be set up in the south to carry on Pudu". Eighteen founders, such as he Qizhong, Lu Zhizhen, ye Zhihe, Lu Baojing, Yi Baoyun and Chen Taijing, set up a temporary preparatory office in Datong advertising company, Weiqing street, Kowloon. The next year, they found the fourth floor of No. 67 Tongjie as the site of the temple, and were given the name of "Qingsong Temple" by the Jade Emperor Then the Taoist altar was established. In the 1960s, qingsongguan was relocated to Tuen Mun, and in 1970, a head office was set up in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon. Historical development
Qingsongguan, founded in 1949, belongs to the Longmen School of Quanzhen religion, and the Taoist school originated in zhibaotai, Guangzhou, Guangdong. In 1952, it moved to Nathan Road. In 1960, it purchased a permanent site at Qilin Wai, Castle Peak, Tuen Mun. In 1974, it added a site at Tai Nam street, Kowloon to match the development of Tuen Mun ancestral temple. The ancestral temple of Tuen Mun is not only a religious place for believers to gather and participate in Taoism, but also a Taoist Holy Land for Chinese and foreign tourists and Hong Kong people to visit.
In 1949, it was founded by 18 people, including Lu Shaohua (Daohao Baojing), Yi Zefeng (Daohao Baoyun), Lu Jinhang, ye Xingnan and Mai Shixiu. In 1951, Daotan was built on the fourth floor of 67 Weiqing street to honor Lu Zu. In 1953, Daotan was moved to the fifth floor of 200 Nathan Road, Kowloon to expand charity. In 1961, Daotan was built by Hou Baoyuan Road, Guanchang, and built in Qilin Wai, Tuen Mun. In 1974, another Daochang was set up in Da Nan Street. Daomai inherits Quanzhen Longmen sect. It is one of the largest dojo in Hong Kong. Qingsong temple is dedicated to "Lu Zuxian master of Chunyang", with Chunyang hall, Yihua palace and other pavilions. The grand architecture, lush flowers and beautiful scenery, as well as carefully cultivated bonsai, classic paintings and antiques, make the palace more mysterious and elegant. The activities of the temple "take Taoism as the Scripture, serve the people as the latitude, and serve as a diversified good group of Taoism.". The main purpose of this respect is to cultivate happiness and filial piety, to cultivate the elderly, to do good deeds and to cultivate the truth, to cooperate with the government, to prosper the society, and to enrich the public's well-being.
In the early days of Qing Song Guan's founding, he focused on charity. In addition to religious services, he also set up social welfare charity services such as charity school, rice, medicine, relief goods, cold clothes and quilts, and men's and women's homes for the aged. Over the past 50 years, it has been approved by the Hong Kong government to set up two western medicine clinics, two traditional Chinese medicine clinics, nursing homes for the elderly, elderly centers, two middle schools, two primary schools and three kindergartens, which further carry forward qingsongguan's good work of helping the world and benefiting the life.
After the reform and opening up in the mainland, Qingsong temple has strengthened its ties with Chinese Taoist circles. In 1994 and 1996, he donated more than 5 million yuan to nearly 200 Taoist temples for restoration and maintenance. Qingsong temple has also given generous assistance to the restoration and reconstruction of Taoist temples in other provinces and cities, especially in 1993 when it fully invested in the reconstruction of Huanglong ancient temple in Luofu Mountain, Guangdong Province.
In promoting Daoism, Qingsong Temple established the Hong Kong Institute of Daoism in 1991, the Quanzhen Taoism research center in 2002 and the Qingsong publishing house in 2004, which played an active role in promoting the academic research and dissemination of Taoist culture and cultivating Taoist talents. Since 1994, Hong Kong Taoist College and Quanzhen Taoist Research Center have cooperated with famous universities (Sichuan University, Peking University, Sun Yat sen University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, etc.) to hold large and small academic seminars, which not only improved the atmosphere of Taoist academic research, but also created a new trend of Taoist culture research among the academic circles of Hong Kong, the mainland and the world. Qingsongguan devoted himself to the development of Taoist culture, founded the Hong Kong Taoist College and the series of Taoist Culture Studies (14 issues).
