Approaching the mountain gate, you can see the vigorous characters "jin'ao mountain" inscribed on zhougucheng's doorstep with the characteristics of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Below is a picture of people's customs in Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is quite ancient. Walking along the west wall of Shouan temple, you come to Zhenhai pagoda, the most famous scenic spot in Jinao mountain. It is said that Zhenhai pagoda was built in 1893. Donated by a large family in the county, it is located at the peak of jin'ao mountain built in the seventh year of Kangxi (1668). The original Guanyin pavilion was changed into Canghai Pavilion. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, it was one of the "Eight Sights of Ao mountain". The tower was rebuilt in 1986. There are nine floors in the tower. Climbing up the wooden ladder, it is found that six little Bodhisattvas are worshipped on each floor. The more up, the smaller the space, and finally only enough for one person. Climb to the top of the tower and have a panoramic view. When the weather is very fine, you can even see the beach from afar, which is about the origin of "Aofeng overlooking". Jin'ao mountain park also has the charm of Jiangnan garden. Qingyuan hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Hanmo forest, zuihuaxuan, Jiashan Pavilion, purple bamboo forest, Deyue bridge, shuixiangxie, Yuepu and other sceneries are not as good as the original "eight sceneries of Ao mountain", but the water and wood are clear and the winding path is gentle, which is the same delicacy.

Historical origin

Because of its long history, jin'ao mountain has been covered with mystery by years of wind and rain. Many beautiful legends about jin'ao mountain have been recited all the time. It is said that Zhao Yanwei of the Song Dynasty has a description of jin'ao mountain in his East tour: "on the sea, there was jin'ao mountain opposite to Zhapu, and on the mountain there was Xiangfu pagoda yard." Another thing to say is that in Song Dynasty, there was a severe drought in Chongming and the seedlings withered and died. In order to save the suffering farmers, jin'ao in the sea went ashore to spit out water and was killed by Lei Gong. In order to repay jin'ao's kindness of spitting out water and prevent him from exposing his corpse, farmers began to pick up soil to build the mountain, named it jin'ao mountain, and built temples beside the mountain to commemorate it. In addition, during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, Shen Wenhao, a Chongming native, took part in the palace examination. After he won the imperial examination, he hired someone to pick up jin'ao mountain overnight.

In fact, there are no mountains in Chongming Island, and the jin'ao mountain system is built by man. In the song and Yuan Dynasties, it was located in Dongren Township, Sansha, which was a sign of navigation. Taking the name of the mountain to which song Emperor Gaozong went, the mountain had already collapsed. The Jinao mountain was rebuilt in 1668, the seventh year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi. There are nine peaks in the mountain, the highest of which is Zhongfeng. In front of the mountain, there is a jade lotus pool, and in the back of the mountain, there is a purple bamboo forest. It also planted famous flowers and trees. In 1777, the magistrate fan Guotai donated money to rebuild the bridge, pavilion, terrace, tower, pavilion and Yuepu. At this time, there are "shoucha bell", "Qingyuan Lotus", "Tingyin conggui", "Aofeng overlooking", "Meilin snow", "green water ring Pavilion" and "Changdi Xinliu" in the park. "Fish watching" and other eight scenes. After watching, tourists are full of praise. Some of them are devoted to poetry and ink dance, and cherish the idea that "there are temples in Aoshan, paintings for thousands of years, and the river water has no strings and ten thousand Guqin." "The temple is surrounded by green hills and moon, green water in front of the eaves and sky in the water.". The picturesque jin'ao Mountain Park was destroyed by Japanese devils and Kuomintang reactionaries. On the eve of liberation, only the ramshackle Aofeng overlooking (Zhenhai tower) was left. After liberation, jin'ao mountain was listed as a cultural relic protection unit by the county people's government. Under the care and support of the relevant municipal and county departments, funds were allocated several times for restoration.

Now, jin'ao mountain has been restored as a small and exquisite park with concentrated scenic spots. The park is full of trees, flowers and birds, elegant environment and fresh air. It is a resort for people to visit, take photos and have a rest.

Shenchong shuttle bus line (from Chengqiao town Ximen bus station to Zhongshan North Road North District hub station) goes directly to Chengqiao town; at Baoshan District Baoyang road wharf, passengers can reach Baozhen wharf directly, and then take Nanbao line to Chengqiao town; or take Pengshi line (Pengpu new village to Shidongkou wharf) to Baoshan Shidongkou wharf, and then take a boat to Chongming Chengqiao town. Go east along Nanmen road and cross Dongmen road The intersection is Aoshan Road, along the Aoshan road to the East. Jinaoshan Park and Shouan temple are located on Aoshan Road, Qiaozhen town (nanmengang), Chongming County. The north and South echo each other. You can have a panoramic view of jinaoshan in Shouan temple. Because there is no bus, you can only take the local rickshaw or taxi (about 15 minutes).
