Jingsha bell scenic area has a sand slope which is most suitable for sand sliding. The slope of sand sliding is very large, stimulating and enjoyable. It's difficult to control the brake well. It's dangerous. Sliding from the top of Shapotou, which is about 100 meters high, due to its special geographical environment and geological structure, there will be a strange sound under the seat, which is as dull as a Hongzhong, so it is called Jinsha bell. To get to the starting point of sand slide at the top of the sand slope, you can take the desert escalator or the cable car.

This kind of sheepskin raft, commonly known as Paizi, is to cut off the head and hoof of the goat, then put the sheepskin out of the mouth, and blow it with the mouth to make it puff up. The tourists sat on the raft, and the rafters rowed forward with oars.
Knowledge of history
Since the Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties, more than 2000 years of reclamation has created a splendid ancient civilization in Shapotou area. However, the war, excessive reclamation and abandonment of cultivated land inevitably led to the deterioration of the ecological environment. The earliest desert in Shapotou area can be traced back to the Mongol Yuan Dynasty. According to the records of the history of the Yuan Dynasty, "Yingli prefecture (now Zhongwei city) borders Lanzhou in the lower reaches, blocking the river in the East and living in Shashan in the West. The terrain described in the records of Yuan history should be the Shapotou area. If there were sand mountains in this area in Yuan Dynasty, there should be lots of quicksand in some areas of Shapotou in Xixia period.
Now, on the edge of the Yellow River in Shapotou, there have been tall sand mountains. The yellow sand has also crossed the Yellow River and kept flying to the east bank. Standing at Shapotou, looking to the northeast, it is muddy and yellow. Experts believe that at present, the first and second terraces of the Yellow River are covered by thick quicksand in Shapotou. To the west, there are eroded hills, piedmont alluvial fans and proluvial plains, which can show that there is no source of yellow sand in Shapotou area, and it is not local sand. The yellow sand here comes from the northwest, which is the result of the expansion of Tengger Desert.
