The City College of Wuhan University of science and technology was established in 2002 with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's government and registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. Wuhan University of science and technology is fully responsible for the teaching and daily management of the college. The management and key teachers are mainly selected by Wuhan University of science and technology. The college has nearly 700 full-time teachers, including nearly 300 teachers above the deputy high school. At the same time, more than 300 part-time teachers from Wuhan University, Huazhong University of science and technology, Wuhan University of technology and other "211" universities are employed. The experimental center of Information Engineering Department has 9 laboratories. At present, there are eight laboratories: Digital Logic Laboratory, computer composition principle laboratory, Single Chip Microcomputer Laboratory, software laboratory, graphics and image processing laboratory, aerial survey information processing laboratory, e-commerce laboratory and microcomputer assembly and maintenance laboratory. The college library is located in the middle of the campus. It was built in August 2004 and put into use in September 2004. The building area of the library is 14000m2, and the actual use area is 10000m2.
