Guangxi National Museum is the largest cultural facilities project in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region since the founding of the people's Republic of China. It is an autonomous region level, all people owned, public welfare, professional national culture museum. Its main task is to collect, study and display the traditional culture of 12 ethnic groups in Guangxi, and at the same time, it takes into account the protection of ethnic groups in Guangxi surrounding provinces and Southeast Asia Cultural research, cultural relics collection, publicity and display of all ethnic groups.
The appearance of the museum is very distinctive. The shape of the museum is the bronze drum of Guangxi, which is very symbolic. Development history
In 2003, the Guangxi National Museum began to be built, covering an area of about 86600 square meters, of which the exhibition hall covers an area of about 8000 square meters, and is attached with an open-air Exhibition Park of about 40000 square meters of Guangxi traditional residential buildings.
In 2003, the government of the autonomous region identified it as a key public cultural facilities construction project, which was officially launched in June 2006.
In 2008, at the opening of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a large-scale exhibition of Guangxi ethnic culture, "ASEAN Culture Exhibition", a joint invitation exhibition of five ethnic minority autonomous regions, "special exhibition of cultural relics of China's ethnic minority autonomous region" and a distinctive small personal collection exhibition will be displayed, which can meet the needs of an annual audience of 1 million.

Venue layout
The shape of the main building of Guangxi National Museum is based on the bronze drum with Guangxi regional and national characteristics. The whole building is like a flying Kunpeng, roaming among the green mountains and green waters. The building area is 29370 square meters, of which the exhibition hall area is about 8000 square meters. There are five functional areas including public service area, open-air exhibition area, cultural relic protection and Research Center, business and administration area and logistics service area in the whole library area. There are high-tech film hall, multi-functional conference hall, cultural relic specimen observation room, special library, online museum, etc.
