The origin of school

Guangxi Light Industry School

In July 1956, Nanning food school of the Ministry of food industry was established.

In July 1958, Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School was established. In November, Nanning food school of the Ministry of food industry merged with Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School to establish Guangxi Nanning industrial technology school.

In September 1959, the former Nanning food school of the Ministry of food industry of Guangxi Nanning industrial technical school moved to Dushan, Guixian County, and changed its name to Guangxi Guixian sugar industry school.

In September 1970, Guangxi Guixian sugar industry school moved back to Nanning and merged with Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School to establish Guangxi Light Chemical Industry School.

In the spring of 1978, on the basis of Guangxi light and chemical industry school, Guangxi Institute of light industry was established with the approval of Guangxi district Party committee (among them, Guangxi chemical industry school was established for chemical engineering majors).

In June 1982, the General Higher Education Department of Guangxi Institute of light industry moved out and the technical secondary school established Guangxi Institute of light industry.

 

Guangxi Nanning Chemical Engineering School

In September 1959, after the former Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School was partially merged with Liuzhou, Guilin and Wuzhou chemical industry schools, it was renamed Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School, and was upgraded to Guangxi Institute of Chemical Technology in July 1960. In November of the same year, Guangxi Institute of water resources and electric power, Guangxi College of Posts and telecommunications, Guangxi Industrial cadre school, etc. were merged into Guangxi Institute of technology. Guangxi Institute of chemical technology was divided into the Department of chemical engineering and the first Department of technical secondary school of Guangxi Institute of technology.

In 1962, the Party committee of the Autonomous Region decided to adjust the universities and technical secondary schools. The former Guangxi Institute of technology was merged into some of them and moved out. The undergraduate classes of chemical engineering were continued until graduation in 1964. Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School resumed running.

In September 1970, Guangxi Nanning Chemical Industry School merged with Guangxi Guixian sugar industry school to establish Guangxi Light Chemical Industry School.

In August 1978, the Ministry of chemical industry determined that Guangxi chemical industry school (separated from Guangxi light and chemical industry school) was a subordinate School of the Ministry, and was designated as a key technical secondary school of the Ministry.

In December 1978, approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, Guangxi University of Chemical Technology resumed its normal higher education, named Guangxi Institute of petrochemical industry.

In June 1982, the General Higher Education Department of Guangxi Institute of petrochemical industry moved out, and the technical secondary school established Guangxi Institute of petrochemical industry.

In 1984, Guangxi Petrochemical school was renamed Guangxi Nanning Chemical School.

 

Guigang Vocational College

In 1904, Guixian Primary School of higher education was founded.

In 1913, Guixian high school was renamed Guixian middle school.

In 1934, Guixian middle school (simple normal class) was founded. In 1937, it was suspended.

In 1941, the county National Middle School (teacher training class) was founded, and then renamed as the county National Middle School (teacher science class), which was closed in 1943.

Guixian simple normal school was founded in 1944 and closed down in 1949.

In 1950, it was restored and renamed Guixian Junior Normal School.

In 1958, Guixian Junior Normal School was renamed Guixian normal school. In 1962, it was closed.

In 1970, it was resumed and renamed Guixian industrial and agricultural normal school.

In 1978, Guixian industrial and agricultural normal school was renamed Guixian normal school,

In 1988, Guixian normal school was renamed Guigang normal school.

In August 2003, Guigang normal school was upgraded to Guigang Vocational College.

 

Merge upgrade

In May 2003, with the approval of the economic and Trade Commission of the autonomous region, Guangxi Light Industry School and Guangxi Nanning Chemical Engineering School merged to form Guangxi industrial and technical school. In August, with the approval of the people's Government of the autonomous region and the record of the Ministry of education, the University was upgraded to a higher vocational college (college degree) and named Guangxi Institute of industry and technology.

 

In 2008, the school passed the evaluation of talent training in Higher Vocational Colleges and was recognized as excellent.

In 2009, the University was recognized as the key construction unit of Model Higher Vocational Colleges in the autonomous region.

In October 2013, with the approval of the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guigang Vocational College was incorporated into the school.

 

In August 2016, it was selected as the second batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units.

In October 2019, it passed the acceptance of the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of education.

Department setting

As of July 2017, the school has set up 9 teaching departments (departments) including petroleum and chemical engineering department, food and bioengineering department, mechanical engineering department, electronic and electrical engineering department, automotive engineering department, management science department, architectural engineering department, basic teaching department and social science department, with 54 Higher Vocational Majors.

As of July 2017, the school has 792 in-service staff and 710 full-time and part-time teachers. Teaching construction

As of July 2017, the university has 4 projects supported by the central finance to improve the development ability of professional service industry in higher vocational colleges, 1 special project of "replacing subsidy with award" in Vocational Education of the central finance, 5 specialty of characteristic specialty and curriculum integration construction project in Guangxi Colleges and universities, 3 characteristic specialty in Guangxi Colleges and universities, 5 high-quality specialty in Guangxi Colleges and universities, and 6 excellent courses at the autonomous region level There are three national vocational education training bases, one national demonstration training base for petroleum and chemical industry vocational education and training, and six regional demonstration training bases for higher vocational education.

Cooperation and exchange

As of July 2017, the university has jointly organized correspondence adult education with Beijing University of chemical technology, Nanjing Normal University, Shenyang University of chemical technology, Yunnan University of Finance and economics, Wuhan University of engineering and Liaoning University of technology, and cooperated with Fitchburg State University, Peninsula College, Glasgow City College, de Montfort University, doctoral Hill College of Australia and tamarbury College of Thailand The school is jointly run by the University of science and technology, Taiwan Shude University of science and technology and other foreign educational institutions.

 

As of July 2017, the school has established close cooperation with 123 well-known enterprises in and outside Guangxi. In 2009, it organized 113 enterprises, scientific research institutes and industry associations to jointly establish Guangxi Industrial Vocational Education Group, and served as the chairman of the group Council. In 2016, 8 colleges and 29 enterprises were organized to jointly establish Guigang Vocational Education Group, and served as the chairman of the group Council.
