The Hong Kong Railway Museum is a branch of the Hong Kong Cultural Museum, which is dedicated to the history of the Kowloon Canton Railway. The museum is located at 13 Chongde street, Tai Po market. Although the museum is small, it has its own characteristics. This is a unique Chinese style golden top building, which was built in 1913 at the old Tai Po Market railway station. In 1984, the railway station was listed as a legal Monument and opened to the public free of charge. The museum displays pictures and materials about railway historical materials, real railway equipment and train models, etc.; outside the museum, there are also a section of old railways and turnouts, ancient arm signal, ancient locomotives and vehicles, etc.
