The statue of Qingshui patriarch temple in changfuyan of the Three Gorges is originated from Qingshui patriarch (also known as Penglai patriarch) in qingshuiyan, Anxi Town, Quanzhou, Fujian Province. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, he crossed the sea with kenmin and came to Taiwan. In the 32nd year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1767 AD), he was proposed by Quanzhou people from sanjiaoyong, shitouxi, erjiajiu, Zhongzhuang and yinggeshi. In the 34th year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the statue was built( In 1769, it was founded at the end of sanjiaoyong mansion (now xiuchuanli, Sanxia Town, Taipei County). It was named "changfuyan" and took the surnames of Liu, Daji, Chen, Lin, zhongzhuangji, Li and Wang Qigu respectively. This is the sacrificial organization of zushi temple for hundreds of years.
Tzushr Temple
The Three Gorges ancestral temple, also known as the Three Gorges changfuyan, is called the Three Gorges changfuyan ancestral temple. Master Qingshui, an eminent monk from Anxi County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, is a famous historic site in Sanxia District, Xinbei City, Taiwan. He is also known as the three great ancestral temples in Taipei area together with the mangmangmang temple and Danshui temple. Master Qingshui, also known as "master Mazhang". The folk in Taiwan generally call it "grandmaster" and even more "grandmaster Luobi". The architectural design is designed by Professor Li Meishu, with fine sculptures to set off the magnificence of the ancestral temple. The temple is often called "Oriental Art Palace" or "Sculpture Museum" in tourist materials. Every year, on the sixth day of the first month of the lunar calendar, which is the founder's Christmas day, the Three Gorges founder's temple holds a grand God pig Festival Competition, which is often reported by the media. It is one of its famous temple activities.
history
The Three Gorges ancestral temple has a long history. It was built in the Qing Dynasty. It can be traced back to 1767 and was built by local residents with seven different surnames. They are Liu, Daza, Chen, Lin, Zhongzhuang, Li and Wang, and they come from Three Gorges, Yingge, Tucheng and Daxi.
In 1813, a private school was set up in the temple, and Chen Chuan was responsible for educating local children.
In 1833, the temple was partially damaged by the earthquake, so it was rebuilt for the first time. Then the Sino Japanese war broke out, and it was burned by the Japanese army in 1895.
The second reconstruction was carried out in 1899.
After the end of the Second World War in 1945, the Japanese army left Taiwan, and the ancestral temple of the Three Gorges returned to the Three Gorges area, which was taken over by Li Meishu, the then acting chief of the Three Gorges street.
So the third reconstruction plan was carried out, which took time and effort from fund-raising, design, setting up committee and engineering. In 1947, the construction officially started, and the comprehensive renovation of the front hall began.
In 1963, the central hall was built as beam; in 1975, the drum tower was constructed.
In 1983, Li Meishu, who presided over the reconstruction for more than 30 years, died. The organization of the reconstruction Committee experienced twists and turns during the re-election. In 1995, the installation of stone railings caused controversy. In 1996, the reconstruction plan of the Three Gorges ancestral temple was officially suspended.
Architecture
On the left side of the front hall of the ancestral temple are the eaves pillars and caisson carvings. Many birds can be seen.
In the main hall of zushi temple, we can see the "three story double dragon pillars" and "hundred birds in the morning plum pillars". After three times of reconstruction, the main building type of the Three Gorges zushi temple is the hall type temple with three entrances and nine bays. The "Three Entrances" means that it has the front hall, the main hall (that is, the middle hall) and the back hall.
Nine Bay is the width of the temple. The temple base is characterized by a width of 30 meters and a depth of 40 meters.
The architectural style of zushi temple is different from that of other temples in Taiwan
All the walls are made of stone, so the decoration of the wall is also presented in the way of stone relief.
Liang and Fang have no painting or arch, they are all presented in relief and decorated with gold.
The front hall, the middle hall and the back hall are all made of caisson, while the general temples only make caisson in the Sanchuan hall and the main hall of the front hall.
The first floor of the left and right wing rooms is made of reinforced concrete, and the second floor is made of ancient wood.
Therefore, the side hall and the bell and Drum Tower can be said to be the first modern and the second ancient construction techniques.
The appearance of the temple is thinner and higher than that of the general temple. The feeling of the front hall is particularly obvious, and the cornice is much higher than that of the general temple.
The width to height ratio of Sanchuan hall in the middle is 1.8.
It can be seen from the above that the architectural feature of the ancestral temple in the Three Gorges lies in its stone carving. Apart from the simple shape of the base, the architectural parts of other temples all have complex and beautiful stone carvings.
The most attractive is the stone carvings with 20 pillars in the main hall. Besides dragon pillars, there are double dragon pillars, single dragon pillars, flower and bird pillars and couplet pillars.
The "three layers of double dragon pillars", "flower and bird pillars" and "hundred birds to plum pillars" in the main hall can be said to be the most important stone pillar carvings in the temple.
Because stone carvings are more time-consuming than wood carvings, the reconstruction of the ancestral temple is longer and harder than ordinary temples.
Master, materials, origin and subject matter are also the reasons for the twists and turns of the reconstruction plan after 1990.
