Synopsis

In the early spring of 1963, the rice tofu stall in Furong Town, known as "Furong Fairy" Hu Yuyin, was crowded. She was beautiful, warm and attentive. However, the state-owned restaurant opposite was left out because of its poor service attitude. Li Guoxiang, the manager, was very annoyed. Hu Yuyin and her husband Gui Gui got up early in the dark and saved money to build a new house. When the "four Qing" movement began, Li Guoxiang, as the leader of the working group, relied on the town's "land reform root" villain Wang Qiuhui to grasp the class struggle. Hu Yuyin handed over the 1500 yuan he had painstakingly saved to Li mangeng for safekeeping, and went to his distant relatives' home to take shelter. Li mangeng has been in love with her since childhood. Because Hu Yuyin's family background is not good and the organization is not allowed, he can't get together. Since 1966, China has entered an era of earth shaking and human demon reversal. Li Guoxiang, a former revolutionary cadre, was also found out and criticized together with Hu Yuyin and Qin Shutian. Wang Qiuhui, the backbone of the movement trained by Li Guoxiang himself, became the Party branch secretary of the town, while Li mangeng became his secretary.
