Deji was founded in 1867. It is 20 feet long and 12 feet wide. Its main business is exporting sugar and camphor. You may be a little strange to Deji, but you must know that the famous "Lipton black tea", Colin milk powder, Disney and other products are all represented by Deji!

After Japan ruled Taiwan, it was changed into "the social business office of the Greater Japan Salt Association.". In 1945, Deji changed its name to "Tainan saltern office". Later, it was once a dormitory of Tainan saltern. In 1981, it was established as "Wax Museum of Taiwan's pioneering historical materials". In addition to the vivid wax figures provided by Qimei industry, there are also some exhibitions worth visiting!

The whole building of Deji foreign company faces south. It is three stories high. The main staircase is set in the center. The first floor used to be the dormitory for the staff, and the middle is the corridor. In order to adapt to the hot and humid weather in Taiwan, the East and south sides are surrounded by ventilated arcades. The corridor is decorated with green glazed vases and white walls. The fresh and simple style is completely different from the traditional houses in Anping!
