Liuliping National Forest Park is located 15 kilometers southwest of Xinglong County, Chengde City, Hebei Province.
Liuliping National Forest Park, in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, was granted as the "forbidden area of Fengshui after the dragon" of the eastern Mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty. It was granted for nearly 270 years. The scene at that time can be summarized in four sentences: "green pines and cypresses on the mountain, shade covering the ground; green water flowing on the ground, clear to the bottom; birds singing in the forest, euphemistic; flowers blooming on the ground, fragrant." It can be said that the formation of a real primeval forest. Later, this primeval forest was destroyed. It was in the late Qing Dynasty. The last emperor Puyi was trapped in the Forbidden City at that time. He still had some troops in his hands, but he didn't pay for them. Finally, he sold his ancestral Houlong Fengshui forbidden area. According to historical records, Cai Jiezhi, a businessman in Beijing, bribed the government to exploit the forbidden area. At that time, the transportation conditions were very poor, and the timber mined was carried by people, donkeys and carriages. However, the destructive damage to this primeval forest is the fire set by little Japan. Before little Japan finally left China, it had a "three light policy", that is, to kill, rob and burn all the places it went. A fire in Liuliping has been burning for a whole year and three months. After liberation, it became a national forest farm and began to close the mountains for afforestation. At present, the 70000 Mu Pinus tabulaeformis forest in Liuliping Forest Park was planted by forestry workers by hand. At that time, the conditions were very poor. Workers, regardless of men and women, planed a pit and planted a tree for more than ten years. Now that all the old tree planting workers have retired, our first task is to protect this primeval forest that our ancestors exchanged with blood and sweat.
Now Liuliping Forest Park is well protected, and it was named National Forest Park by the State Forestry Administration in 2004. There are more than 30 scenic spots in the scenic area, such as Liuyuan waterfall, white elephant playing in the water, overpass, yixiantian, whale Wangyue stone, Yingke pine, Xuanshi cave, etc. In early spring, the mountain flowers are brilliant; in late autumn, the land is full of gold; in winter, there are thousands of pear trees; the climate is pleasant and the products are rich.
