Liuzhou Park

Liuzhou park is the largest urban comprehensive park in Jiashan County, with a total area of 23.3 hectares. The project started in April 2002. After more than two years of construction, the park was basically completed and opened in September 2004. The total investment in park construction is more than 60 million yuan.

The main entrance of the park is located at the east end of Renmin Avenue, starting from Shanjiang highway in the East, along xujiagang in the west, Jinyang East Road in the north, and sujiabang new village in the south. The axis of the main entrance of the park corresponds to Renmin Avenue, echoing xujiagang riverside green belt. There are main entrance area, north entrance area, Central Lake area, leisure area, fitness and entertainment area, children's recreation area, science education area and other scenic spots in the park.

There are more than 100 species of plants in the park, which retain the original trees of beech, Ulmus pumila, Wutong, Cryptomeria fortunei, metasequoia, and bamboo garden, and add more than ten varieties of ginkgo, osmanthus, beech trees, Michelia, acacia, Cinnamomum camphora, Du Ying, Luan tree and cherry blossom. Trees are planted at the entrance, beside the stone bridge and in the field. Shrubs and flowers are planted at the lower level square and children's playground at the north entrance. There are dozens of birds in the jungle, such as thrush, myna, Pulsatilla, skylark, and so on. Occasionally, you can see colorful pheasant, running hare and gall hedgehog.

Main attractions

The park integrates sightseeing, entertainment and fitness, and focuses on plant landscaping, highlighting water features and natural ecology. In the Central Lake area, there are 12 stone bridges and wooden bridges with different forms, 24 meter diameter musical fountains, stone banks along the lakeshore, pebble beaches, wooden platforms, double pavilions with membrane structure, etc., which constitute the scenery changing step by step. The children's playground is paved with wooden floor and permeable brick, and 72 meter curved wooden flower rack is set on the north side. There are large, medium and small kinds of amusement equipment on the playground, which can accommodate 200-300 children to play at the same time. There is a meteorological observation station in the science popularization area in the southeast corner of the park, which is the main collection place of meteorological data in our county and a good place for Science Popularization Education in our county. In the leisure area, the woods and bamboo gardens are luxuriant, and the teahouse with full wood structure is a good place for playing chess, tasting tea, meeting guests and thinking.

During the summer vacation, students gather here to play, and teachers lead students to paint from life. During the holidays, parents take their children to catch small fish and shrimp on the edge of pebble beach, and a couple of young men and women date in the forest.
