Sailstone

Chuanfan stone, located between Kenting and oluanbi, is a huge coral reef rock rolled down from the nearby platform. It is named because it looks like a sailboat sailing into the harbor from a distance. The stone is covered with weeds, flowers and shrubs, which become the nest of birds. Close up, it looks like the head of former US President Nixon, which makes people laugh.

In addition to enjoying the sea view at the viewing platform, you can also walk 100 meters to the nearby small beach to step on water and waves. Chuanfanshi is the most concentrated area of B & B outside Kenting street. There are many kinds of B & B, which are dazzling. Along the coast, there is a leisure wooden plank road and a clean beach, which is suitable for swimming activities.

Sailstone

Chuanfan stone is located between Kenting and oluanbi. It is named because it looks like a ship entering the harbor. The boat sail stone is about 50 meters high and 40 meters around. It is a raised coral reef. The stone is covered with weeds, flowers and shrubs, making it a nest for birds.

Basic introduction

It is said that in the ancient century, the seedlings of these tropical forests floated from the Nanyang area to southern Taiwan along the ocean current, grew and multiplied on the land of Hengchun, and gradually became dense forests with more than 200 species.

However, the coastal forest was seriously damaged due to the felling of forests by local residents for planting Qiongma, and the development of towns and transportation. After the establishment of "Kenting National Park", it was designated as an ecological reserve for academic research only, and general tourists were forbidden to enter. Covering an area of about 2 hectares, the reserve has a variety of precious tropical tree species, such as wax tree, chessboard foot tree, white water tree, silver tree, QiongYa Begonia, etc., with high academic research value.

Transportation guide

After arriving at Kenting, head for oluanbi. About 3 km, you can see the sailstone in the sea of Lushi. Then you can continue to the tropical coastal forest. It's about 98 km from the interchange to chuanfanshi.

Transportation information: 1. Take the high-speed railway to Zuoying station, then take the Kenting express to Xiaowan station (Kenting), and then transfer to the Kenting Street bus (Orange Line) to chuanfanshi station.

2. Take Taitie to Fangliao station, then take Kenting express to Xiaowan station (Kenting), and then transfer to Kenting streetcar (Orange Line) to chuanfanshi station.

3. Take Kenting streetcar (Orange Line) at Hengchun transfer station and get off at chuanfanshi station (driving on holiday).

Passenger transport:

1. From Kaohsiung Airport, take Guoguang bus to Kenting station, then take Kenting train or Kenting streetcar (orange line, only for holidays and winter and summer holidays) to get off at oke villa in Kenting (opposite is the boat sail stone).

2. Starting from Kaohsiung Airport, Take Kaohsiung and Pingtung passenger trains to Hengchun station, then take the Kenting train or (orange line, only for holidays and winter and summer holidays) to oke villa in Kenting (opposite is the boat sail stone).

3. Starting from Kaohsiung Airport, take Zhongnan passenger transport and get off at chuanfanshi.

Self driving:

1. From the end of Taipei southbound Expressway to the direction of Kenting - then provincial highway 17 (i.e. Binhai Highway) - after passing shuidiliao, turn to Provincial Highway 1 - pass Fenggang, then provincial highway 26 - pass Hengchun and Kenting.

2. From Kaohsiung, you can take provincial road 17 (i.e. Binhai Highway), pass shuidiliao, then turn to provincial road 1, pass Fenggang, then take provincial road 26, pass Hengchun and Kenting.

3. Take provincial road No.1 from Pingtung, then take provincial road No.26 through Fenggang, Hengchun and Kenting.

4. From Taitung, you can take Provincial Road 9, via Daren, via Fenggang, then provincial road 26, via Hengchun and Kenting
