Because the mountain is high, the soil is not fertile enough, and the influence of climate, the country park of Damaoshan is mainly grass slope, and the forest only grows in low places.
The coldest in Hong Kong
Tai Mo Shan is the coldest place in Hong Kong. When the temperature drops suddenly in winter, many people drive to Tai Mo Shan in the early morning, hoping to see the rare frosting landscape in Hong Kong. For a visit to the peak of Mt. Tai Mo, you can walk along the car road of Mt. Tai Mo road. When the sky is clear, you can have a panoramic view of almost all parts of the western and northern New Territories, as well as Yuen Long and Pat Heung plain, even as far as Shekou and Shenzhen. If you meet clouds and fog on the mountain, it's another feeling of flying through the clouds and driving through the fog.
Most rainfall in Hong Kong
The rainfall here is the highest in Hong Kong, which is 30% higher than that in other parts of Hong Kong. The rain flows into steep and deep streams, and falls down to gather together into the waterfall of the Wutong village, one of nine big stone streams in Hongkong's hiking circles. Among them, the long waterfall is about 100 meters high, which is the highest waterfall in Hong Kong. Besides, there are other waterfalls, such as the sporadic waterfall, the middle waterfall and the well bottom waterfall. However, some sections of the waterfalls have been closed due to landslides, so it is not suitable to force them.
Tourism services
The forestation area of the park is located in the southeast. However, due to the limitation of climate and geographical factors, the forest can only extend to a height of 550 meters, and the hillside above it is dominated by shrubs and grass. The area is rich in species, with more than 100 species of birds and butterflies recorded. Snakes include the transverse blunt headed snake, the red necked swimming snake, the green bamboo snake and the water snake.
Delicious food in the park
Porridge noodle shop
Usually small-scale or family business, is a very civilian food shop. Chinese people eat porridge (porridge) has a long history, probably earlier than rice. Cantonese people pay special attention to porridge. Porridge should be cooked as smooth as cotton, and various kinds of meat and vegetables should be added to make different porridge styles, such as Ji porridge and boat porridge. Noodles are also one of the staple foods of Chinese people, and the most famous pasta in Guangdong, of course, is wonton noodles. Wonton is similar to dumplings in northern China. It is made of flour wrapped with stuffing such as fresh shrimp and minced pork. The material must be fresh.
Rice-meat dumplings
In addition to wonton, another essential food for noodle shops is meatballs, such as fish meatballs, beef meatballs, pork meatballs, cuttlefish meatballs, etc. Meatballs not only taste good, but also pay attention to "refreshing elastic teeth" (bite feeling elastic, meat does not stick to teeth). Wonton and meatballs can be eaten alone, or the same as noodles, rice noodles and rice noodles.
