The Hong Kong Institute of physical education is a sports school in Hong Kong. It is one of the main venues for training Hong Kong athletes. The Hong Kong Institute of physical education, formerly known as the "Jubilee Sports Centre", was established by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in 1982.
The Hong Kong Institute of physical education is located in the east of Fo Tan, Sha Tin, new territories. It was established in April 1991 and rebuilt in the former Jubilee sports center. The purpose of the Institute is to provide an ideal environment for the exploration, cultivation and training of sports talents and to promote the development of sports in Hong Kong. At present, the hospital has 3 indoor gymnasiums, 9 squash courts, 15 tennis courts, 4 volleyball courts, 1 multi-purpose stadium, 2 artificial grassland, 3 standard football fields, plastic all-weather track, 2 individual sports rooms and bicycle training grounds, indoor swimming pool and corresponding accommodation and service facilities. The Institute employs full-time coaches in badminton, fencing, football, gymnastics, judo, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis and other events to train athletes of international standards. The Institute is launching a sports scholarship scheme to provide more support to athletes with talent and potential.
In addition, the hospital has cooperated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong to expand its services in sports medicine and science.

Scope of work
1. To provide an excellent environment for potential athletes in Hong Kong to achieve and create outstanding achievements. 2. In accordance with the sports policy and direction set by the Secretary for home affairs, to assist potential athletes to achieve good results in international competitions, enhance the reputation of Hong Kong in the international sports arena and benefit the community. 3. To formulate, plan and implement elite sports programs to promote, promote, enhance and arouse the attention of people in Hong Kong and other regions on elite sports and related development. 4. To work closely with the Hong Kong Sports Association and Olympic Committee of China, the sports federation or similar organizations to foster and promote the development of potential athletes in Hong Kong so that they can achieve good results in major sports games and international competitions. 5. Work closely with the Sports Federation and other organizations to explore potential athletes for elite sports training. 6. Facilities and conditions
Gymnasium
The stadium has a number of elite sports training facilities, including the fitness training center.
Fencing Hall
·13 tracks are equipped with built-in scoring system. Another 6 tracks equipped with built-in scoring system can be used for wheelchair fencing training. Special tracks for wheelchair fencing will be provided in early 2015
tennis court
·Two covered hard earth fields, four hard earth fields and two mud earth fields
indoor badminton court
·16 badminton courts with 150 seats

·16 table tennis tables in line with international standards
Physical training center
With a total area of more than 1000 square meters, it is divided into different areas: · strength and explosive training · pneumatic · mechanical · free strength training · cardiopulmonary ability · functional and core training · the expanded sports recovery center and more physical training equipment will soon be put into use
New wing of Gymnasium
The design of the new wing of the gymnasium is in line with the integrity of the original gymnasium. It provides a new world-class training ground and facilities for Hong Kong elite athletes of martial arts, bowling and squash, and helps to improve their performance.
Bowling center
·The first Asian training ground recognized and certified by the United States Bowling Congress. Two fairways most commonly used in international competitions are selected. Each has six AMF and Brunswick fairways for direct comparison. The fairways can be oiled according to the specifications of international competitions· Special camera and motion analysis system for elite training
Martial arts school
·It covers an area of 1454 square meters, with three 18 x 12 meters and one 16 x 10 meters giant cushions. It can provide 100 seats in the auditorium. It is equipped with a giant electronic scoreboard for international competitions
Track-and-Field Ground
With complete track and field training facilities, the Institute is the first choice for elite training and organizing community or institutional games. It can be used for standard football / rugby field, 8 runways, 2 covered runways, long jump and triple jump, high jump and pole vault, javelin throw, discus throw and shot put
Squash court
·15 single squash courts (4 of which can be converted into 3 doubles)
Rowing Center
The rowing center is located on the side of Chengmen River, providing comprehensive elite training and analysis facilities, as well as rowing storage and maintenance studio. There is also a viewing platform on the central roof, which can observe the training activities in chengmenhe without hindrance.
·It can store 140 rowing boats (the height and width of all rowing frames can be adjusted to match different sizes of rowing boats). It has a workshop for repairing, maintaining and assembling rowing boats. It has a physical training room. It has advanced rowing equipment, which can simulate the action of rowing on the water and the rhythm of human body. The rooftop provides a covered field for athletes to do stretching training.
