Liberty Square

Taipei liberty Plaza is located in the Chung Cheng Memorial Hall Park, with a total area of 250000 square meters. The main body of the Plaza is the Chung Cheng memorial hall, with Taiwan theater and Concert Hall on the left and right. The main entrance archway of "Freedom Square" is the most magnificent archway in Taiwan. It was officially renamed "Freedom Square" from "Dazhong Zhizheng" on December 7, 2007. Today, Liberty Square has become an important place for arts and cultural leisure activities of Taipei citizens. Liberty Square

Liberty Square, formerly known as Zhongzheng square, is located in the central area of Taipei, with a total area of 250000 square meters. It is a public activity square, large-scale activity square, art and cultural performance center in Taiwan. It is also a famous tourist attraction in Taiwan.

Liberty Square is surrounded by Hangzhou south road, Zhongshan South Road, Aiguo East Road and Xinyi Road, with Zhongzheng Memorial Hall as the main body, and distributed with Zhongzheng Park, Liberty Square archway, zhanyan Avenue, National Theater, National Concert Hall and other public buildings.

On December 7, 2007, Chen Shui Bian advocated the removal of Jiang Hua. When he was about to step down, he changed the name of "Dazhong Zhizheng" on the square archway to "Freedom Square" and changed the name of "Zhongzheng Memorial Hall" to "Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall". On July 20, 2009, Taiwan's Ministry of education renamed the "Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall" on July 20, 2009 and put back the old plaque, while the "Freedom Square" of the archway remains today.

Basic introduction

Facing the "Dazhong Zhizheng" archway on Zhongshan South Road, it is 30 meters high and 80 meters wide, 470 meters away from the center line of the memorial hall. From this, we can see the memorial hall from afar, which is magnificent. The architectural form of the memorial hall is the top of the temple of heaven and the body of the pyramid. The main part is white marble wall, blue tile, gold and yellow glass top, and the whole building is magnificent. On the upper floor, there is a bronze statue of Chiang Kai Shek. On the lower floor, there are cultural relics exhibition room, movie room, Wynn Gallery, Chung Cheng Gallery, Chung Cheng Memorial Library, audio-visual center, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial room and children's classroom to provide cultural and educational activities.

When you enter the hall, you will see two Cadillac cars used to be imperial; the cultural relics exhibition room in the hall mainly displays Chiang Kai Shek's clothes and documents; the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial room presents the original appearance of Chiang Kai Shek's office in the "presidential palace". In addition, the handover of the honor guard from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day is also one of the striking "programs" of the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall.

A variety of colorful horticultural flowers are planted in the garden garden, together with rockery, pool and small bridge, making it a good scene for wedding photography.

On the afternoon of December 7, 2007, before Chen Shui Bian, the ruling Taiwan leader of the Democratic Progressive Party, was about to step down, he changed the four big words of "Dazhong Zhizheng" on the memorial archway of Zhongzheng square into "Freedom Square", and the "Zhongzheng Memorial Hall" beside the square was also changed into "Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall".

On the morning of July 20, 2009, the Taiwan authorities re hung the plaque of the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Zhongzheng memorial hall was renamed.
