Today, the dragon worship temple fair on February 2 of the lunar calendar, which has been held since the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, has become a grand folk festival in Yimen. Every year on this day, the county invites the large lantern troupe of Shengshi to sing in the park for three days and three nights. Tens of thousands of people gather here to listen to songs and enjoy the opera, visit the garden and have a spring outing, and pray for good weather and good harvest in the coming year. Many famous scholars have been here. For example, Yang Shen, the number one scholar in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, visited Longquan three times and wrote three poems here. In the early Republic of China, Liu Fakun, commander of Yunnan cavalry general, Chu Tunan, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, Zhao Puchu, former chairman of China Buddhist Association and famous calligrapher, all left artistic treasures here. Strontium mineral spring in the garden - the famous "Yunnan mountain spring" has excellent water quality, 34 meters higher than the county seat, which is very precious. Bainiao garden is the characteristic landscape of the park, covering an area of 13200 square meters. It is one of the large-scale bainiao gardens in China. It integrates bird protection, reception and treatment, domestication and breeding, popular science education and tourism. "People and birds enjoy together" shows that people live in harmony with nature. The park also displays dinosaur fossils excavated in jiaojiadian, Shijie Township, Yimen, in 1987. According to experts' appraisal, it has been 180 million years old, second only to Lufeng, the hometown of dinosaurs in our province. It has great scientific research value. Longquan National Forest Park is a good base for environmental education and science popularization. It is an ideal resort and a natural oxygen bar for rest and summer.
