Located in Zhaoxian County, Hebei Province, the monument of Daguan holy work was carved in 1108, the second year of Daguan in Northern Song Dynasty. The stele is made of bluestone. The body of the stele is an integral stone, 5.6 meters high, 1.57 meters wide and 0.5 meters thick. On the front of the stele, there are two dragons and six characters in regular script, namely "the stele of daguanshengzuo". The inscription is composed by Zhao Ji, Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. It has 1021 words in total, and 62 words are incomplete now. Zhao county's Daguan shengzuo stele is the best preserved one among the existing Daguan shengzuo steles in China. The inscriptions are more specific than similar documents, which provide reliable material for the study of the school and imperial examination system in the Northern Song Dynasty. Inscriptions also have a certain artistic value of calligraphy.
Monument of Grand View
Zheng Juzheng, a scholar of Zizheng hall in the first year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty, wrote the inscription on the stone with the imperial edict of eight elements, standing in the palace school, next to the imperial school, and creating yongtianxia county. In the following year, the stone was carved, standing in the school palace of Pingxiang county. The stele is 5.14 meters high, 1.38 meters wide and 0.38 meters thick, with a height of 1.40 meters and a width of 1.50 meters.

On the forehead of the tablet, "the tablet of daguanshengzuo" is inscribed by Prime Minister Cai Jing. The height of the tablet is 2.94 meters. On the front of the tablet, the imperial edict of filial piety, fraternity, amity, marriage, appointment, compassion, loyalty, and "eight elements" issued by Huizong of Song Dynasty is engraved. A total of 1021 words are left, and 729 words are left. It is written by Li Shiyong, a doctor of calligraphy, in imitation of Huizong of Song Dynasty's "thin gold style" with elegant writing style. On the forehead of the tablet, the inscription "big bell Lord Chai Ruyi's elder sister" is written. There are also inscriptions on both sides of the stele, but the date of the inscription is 103 years after the third year of Jin Da'an, which is 103 years different from the time when the stele was first erected. The turtle seat is 0.80 meters high, 1.50 meters wide and 2.70 meters long. It's made of two halves. Although the monument is incomplete, it has high historical and artistic value. In 2007, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit by the people's Government of Hebei Province.
Historical evolution
On September 18, 1107, the first year of Emperor Huizong's Grand View in the Northern Song Dynasty, Zheng Juzheng, a Bachelor of Zizheng hall, wrote the imperial edict of eight lines, engraved it in stone, established it in the palace school, followed by the imperial school, and established it in yongtianxia
On August 29, 1108, the second year of the grand view, Zheng jiuzhong, the Minister of rites and Minister of rites, ordered him to carve stones with his gifts.
At the beginning of the monument, only the front writing. Later, after the third year of Jin Da'an, a supplementary inscription was written in the Yin and left and right sides of the tablet. Because the inscription on the right side of the tablet had the words "Da'an three years old CI Xinwei" (1211 A.D.), it was more than 100 years away from the time when the tablet was first erected. Its handwriting cannot be fully explained. The monument was disconnected 40 cm below its forehead in an unknown year.
In 1984, the cultural and educational bureau of Pingxiang County, when conducting a general survey of cultural relics, listed the "monument of daguanshengzuo" as the key cultural relics protection unit of Pingxiang County, and moved the upper part of the broken monument to the county cultural center.
In 2001, the upper part of the monument was moved to the Institute of culture and sports.
At the beginning of 2002, the remaining broken stele and Guifu stele seat of the Confucian temple in Pingxiang town were moved to the courtyard of the County Sports Bureau.
In 2006, the monument was moved to Ping'an Park again.
In March 2007, the monument was erected on the east side of the park.
