Lihua temple tower is located in the southwest corner of Xuanhua city (now occupied by the Garrison). The tower was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the 22nd year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty. The tower is 14 meters tall. It's five levels and eight sides. There is a lotus seat at the bottom, a cast-iron crown at the top, and a kissing beast at each corner. It has beautiful shape and fine workmanship. According to kaolihua, the patriarch is a descendant of the Japanese Buddhist rilian sect. In order to carry forward the Lotus Sutra, he went west to China and presided over Lihua temple. And in Lihua temple, he passed away. It has a great influence in Japanese Buddhist circles.
