Legend of ancient pagoda
According to the county annals, Feng Ji was separated from his mother when he was a child. Later, he paid homage to the pacifier and failed to find his mother. On one of his birthdays, beggars gathered outside the Yamen to beg for food. One of the blind old women sighed, "today is also my son's birthday. If he is here, I won't end up like this!" When Feng Ji heard about it, he invited her into the house and asked her son if he had any marks on his body. The blind old woman said, "my son is twins with two arms. After he separated them with a knife, he died. The living son has long scars on his arms." Feng Ji immediately bowed down and wept, recognized his mother, knelt down and licked her eyes with her tongue.
Yao Yiqiang, an old writer, once wrote in the legend of Wenxiang Pagoda: "the famous pagoda, Wenxiang pagoda, stands at the foot of Tushan on the South Bank of the main urban area. It was built in the year of Jiaqing of Ming Dynasty and completed in 38 years. It took 16 years. The tower is seven stories high, built with bricks and stones, towering into the clouds. From the bottom to the top, it shrinks and collapses layer by layer. There are protruding Gu edges and angles around the layers. In the tower, there are spiral stone steps, which can reach the top of the tower. Each layer is engraved with Buddha statues, and small windows are opened. You can have a panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and rivers, and scale buildings. " From this we can see the magnificence and magnificence of Wenxiang tower. At the end of the 1980s, in the autumn of mengqiu, the residents of youjuelin Temple happened to find green smoke coming out from the top of the ancient pagoda. At first, they didn't pay attention to it. Later, they became more and more surprised.
The gate of this tower has always been locked by a big iron lock for a long time. For a long time, there has been neither inhabitation nor incense. What about the smoke? What's more amazing is that the smoke is very punctual. Every day at 7:30 a.m. and 8:20 p.m., the top of the tower will smoke on time. At first, the color of the smoke is very light, and it needs great attention to see it. Then it turns from light to thick, and gradually becomes clear. More and more smoke is formed, like the curl of green smoke from hundreds of incense tied together. Sometimes a few wisps of smoke of different thicknesses and shapes come out from the top at the same time. Some of them are columnar, shaking and rising; some of them are reticular, covering a small piece of sky. The smoke, shining and changing over the top of the tower, is erratic, presenting an unprecedented magical scene, which makes people daydream. If there is wind, the smoke will disperse with the wind after escaping from the Tasha. If there is cloudy or light rain, the smoke from the Tasha will be more and thicker.
"Is it a Bodhisattva?" Some people quickly linked this phenomenon to ghosts and spirits.
As a result, a few superstitious people quietly burn incense, kowtow, worship, pray for the blessing of Bodhisattva, begging to eliminate disasters. A few days later, many people in xiahao area witnessed this magical phenomenon, and it spread from one to ten, from ten to 100, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another, from one to another. First, people from neighboring areas such as haitangxi, Nanping, Huangjue and tanzishi came after hearing the news. Later, people from daxingchang, Changshengqiao, Nanquan and lijiatuo also came to see them. Later, people from central Chongqing, Shapingba, Jiangbei, Beibei and other districts and counties also came by boat and car.
In the morning and dusk, the open space under the tower, on both sides of the road, in front of the roof windows of the surrounding houses, and on the hillside are crowded with people. Many people also bring binoculars to see this rare spectacle. According to my rough estimate, at the most, there were as many as 10000 or 20000 onlookers. As people watched and talked, all kinds of conjectures and rumors began in the streets, spread to thousands of families, and became a hot topic among the people at that time.
