history
After the Qin Dynasty destroyed the six states, counties were set up in Yulin and the Great Wall was built. Zhenbeitai Great Wall was one of them. In the early Ming Dynasty, Yansui town moved from Suide to Yulin, and set up cities in Hongshan, Shenmu, Huangfuchuan and other places to the north of Yansui town to trade with Mongolian people.
Since the exchange, Mongolians often wait for the opportunity to go south and plunder property. For the safety of the border city, in 1474, Yu Zijun, governor of Yansui, built the great wall of Yansui town in April on the basis of the great wall of Qin and Sui dynasties. At the same time, in order to cooperate with the trade of Hongshan City, he built Yima City and the tribute city for Mongolian people to control trade. In the 35th year of Wanli (1607), the town of Beitai was built in the South-North of the Great Wall, on the southwest corner of the red mountain, to observe the situation of the enemy and the mutual market.

On the east side of the North platform of the town is the "tribute city" built in the same period, with a circumference of 668 meters and an area of about 2 hectares. It is a city where Mongolian and Han officials offer tribute, present gifts and negotiate trade. The city and zhenbeitai form a complete building system of Yulin Great Wall.

Yimacheng
During the period of "yimacheng" Hongshan city's Mongolian Han mutual market, Mongolian herdsmen drove cattle, sheep, camels, horses and fur. Han businessmen from all over the world also came to Hongshan city with a large number of cloth, silk, salt, tea, tobacco and wine. There are herds of cattle and sheep, the scale of the account package, the cactus of the camel, the roar of the people, and a lively scene of Mongolian Han trade.
In this regard, Yang Yun, a scholar in the early Qing Dynasty, wrote in "Spring View of zhenbeitai": close the door and go straight to the wasteland. Every day cattle and sheep come to the market. After thousands of miles of spring wind and snow, tourists point out heliantai. Standing at the top of the North platform of the town, people can look around and have a panoramic view of the scenery for tens of miles. Southeast: the forest network of farmland, vertical and horizontal channels, willow line, and the vicissitudes of Yulin ancient city, the sparkling Yuxi River and the new modern city of naxisha buildings; Northwest: the scenery outside the Great Wall, the numerous green hills and sand dunes surrounding the oasis, under the stage: Yima City, Zigong City, Hongshi gorge and Pinghu on the gorge.
