The former site of Ye Ting prisoner's residence is located on the West Bank of Gaojing river outside the west gate of the old city of Enshi City. It is backed by Liangzi mountain and facing the Ximen river. National Highway 209 passes through the museum, covering a total area of 3000 square meters and a construction area of 508.82 square meters. It is the national defense education base of Hubei Province, the cultural relics protection unit of Hubei Province, the national defense education base of Hubei Province and the "top ten" patriotic education demonstration base of Hubei Province. The memorial hall of general Ye Ting's prison residence was built in 1983 with the approval of the people's Government of Hubei Province. The memorial hall was officially opened to the public on December 1 of the same year. In December 1992 and March 1995, Hubei Provincial People's government successively announced it as a provincial cultural relics protection unit and a patriotic education base. [1]
General Ye Ting Memorial Hall covers an area of 175 square meters, with two floors of exhibition hall, a total of 330 square meters. The exhibition hall on the first floor of the memorial displays pictures of general Ye Ting's life story, with more than 140 precious historical photos on display. The exhibition hall on the second floor displays more than 150 pictures of the precious cultural relics and historical materials of the war of resistance against Japan in Enshi.

He joined the Communist Party of China in 1924, joined the Communist Party of China as a member of the national revolution, and served as head of the independent regiment of the National Revolutionary Army and commander of the New Fourth Army. After being captured in the "Southern Anhui Incident" in January 1941, Chen Cheng, commander of the sixth war zone and chairman of Hubei provincial government, was transferred to Enshi, the seat of Hubei provincial government, by the Kuomintang in the winter of 1942, because he and his former classmates of Baoding Military Academy were doing "transformation work". The former residence is close to the Red Sand Mountain, facing the river and the city wall, isolated from the outside world, and its terrain is easy to guard. The former site is a civil structure residential building with wooden frame in the middle, surrounded by earth walls. There are 3 main houses and 2 East rooms, with a total construction area of 180 square meters. It was originally a rich man's plum business, and later a tenant, Liu Guijin. Ye Tingyin lived in the main room with his wife, Li Xiuwen, and his eldest daughter, ye Yangmei. Liu Guijin lived in the wing room and the guard lived in the west room. In the summer of 1943, he was transferred to Guilin, Guangxi, and returned to Enshi at the end of the year. His second son, ye Zhengming, and his fourth son, ye Huaming, also lived with him until September 1945. In 1983, the former site of Ye Ting's residence was repaired, and a 330 square meter memorial hall, a general Pavilion and a monument were expanded.
