Xiamen Wuyuanwan Wetland Park is one of the leading projects in Xiamen Wuyuanwan area, covering an area of 85 hectares, which is equivalent to half of Gulangyu Island. The conceptual design of Wuyuan Bay Wetland Park is proposed by Atkins Consulting Co., Ltd., which is the largest design company in Europe. Its Dubai Seven Star yacht hotel has become an international landmark. The total planning area of Wetland Park is more than 500000 square meters. Every March, a large number of egrets nest and breed here. It is also an important station for migratory birds to migrate from north to south. The design concept of Wetland Park is: do not destroy the original ecological foundation, try to make use of the existing ecological environment, with protection and restoration as the main, reconstruction as the auxiliary, to create a green original ecological wetland park. On the current plot of Wuyuanwan Wetland Park, the existing aquatic and hygrophyte zones, aquatic plant communities, reed and wetland plant communities will be protected, and Taiwan Acacia, Hibiscus syriacus, Leucaena leucocephala, water lily, mangrove and other plants will be planted; while the existing wetland habitats include 25 species of wetland waterfowls in 9 families, such as black swan and wild duck, and 29 species of mountain forest and farmland birds in 17 families Class will continue to live and sing here.
