Celestial burial is an ancient and unique custom in Tibet, which is also a funeral method adopted by most Tibetans. The sky burial platform of Seda was built on the gentle hillside of relatively flat terrain. Next to a small white tower, a flat ground as big as a basketball court is surrounded by iron bars, which is the place for sky burial. Celestial burial is to offer the corpse of the dead to the incarnation of the Supreme kongxingmu, the vulture hawk. After eating, the vulture hawk flies into the sky. Tibetans believe that the dead ascends to heaven smoothly.

According to local customs, people need to be mortuary for several days after death, and ask the Lama to chant sutras and choose a date for burial. The celestial burial master immediately stripped the body of clothes, dismembered the body according to certain procedures, and stripped the flesh and bone. Finally, call the vultures with the whistle and feed them in the order of bone and meat. Visitors should have the courage and endurance to see the sky burial in seta.
