Jianshui Swallow Cave

Jianshui Yanzi cave is located in the Lujiang River Valley, more than 20 kilometers east of Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The cave is divided into two layers: the upper cave is huge, the opening is a collapsed cave, and the interior is a hall shaped cave with stalagmites, pillars, stalactites, etc. There was a three storey Pavilion in the cave, with a tree passing through the hall. August 8 bird's nest Festival

On August 8, 1988, Yanzidong Scenic Management Office held the first "bird's nest Festival" and achieved success. The Swallow Cave decides that August 8 of each year will be designated as "bird's nest Festival". At the same time, it is decided to hold the activity of "Yingchun Yanzhong ruxuan plaque" on March 21, 1989 as a tourism project of Yanzi cave. The "bird's nest Festival" takes cultural activities as the carrier, commodity exhibition as the basis, investment attraction as the focus, and opening-up as the purpose, which has led to the rapid development of local economy in Jianshui and attracted the attention of the county Party committee and the county people's government. Since then, the bird's nest Festival on August 8 has been supported by the county Party committee, the county people's government and relevant departments.

In 2004, Jianshui County Party committee and government made a decision to hold the 2004 bird's nest Festival. After careful preparation, Jianshui County Party committee and government held the opening ceremony of 2004 bird's nest festival in Chaoyang building on August 8. Traffic information

Take a special bus to the scenic spot at Jianshui passenger station, or take a bus to Gejiu, Kaiyuan and Mengzi to Yanzidong. The ticket is 10 yuan and it takes about 30 minutes.
