Xiangyangkou Village
Xiangyangkou village is located in the northeast of Zhaitang town, Mentougou District, Beijing. The village is an ancient small village with natural history. During the Ming Dynasty, it was composed of Han and Cai surnames, named xingyekou village and later xingyekou village. After 1949, it was called Xiangyangkou village. In the 1990s, Baiyang Shihu village was merged into Xiangyangkou village.
The village has a vast territory, with a total area of 55208 mu, including 54807 mu of shrubbery, 401 mu of grain field, 3805 mu of woodland, 54807 mu of wetland, 21 square kilometers of water area, and 350 meters above sea level.
Xiangyangkou village has a beautiful natural environment with mountains, rivers and lakes. The south of the village is close to Yongding River and the upstream of Pearl Lake. Lake is rich in aquatic resources, there are a variety of fish, shrimp, shellfish. Relying on the water surface of Pearl Lake to carry out tourism and improve the income of villagers.
The village is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces water on one side. Backed by the general mountain, South Yongding River. Pearl villa is on the opposite bank, and Pearl Lake is a famous scenic spot in the downstream. The scenic spots include Xinghua village, the first bridge in Asia and the small Three Gorges.
