Original name
Taiping Army and nine women
After the Taiping army conquered Wuchang in February 1855, the liberated women took an active part in the uprising. After liberation, the people's government, at the request of the villagers, built a mausoleum in 1952 to commemorate the nine unknown heroes, and built a monument on the terrace. The stele is made of stone with a copper bell hanging on the top. On the front, Dong Biwu's nine female Dunji is engraved. On the Yin and both sides, inscriptions by Song Qingling, Guo Moruo, He Xiangning and Zhang Nanxian are engraved. In his poem, Dong Biwu praised Jiunv for her "striving for liberation into the heavenly army, heroine's righteous voice, people's sympathy for heroine, and word-of-mouth spread for thousands of years". Song Qingling affirmed that "their resistance, for the sake of the people, they gave everything.". He Xiangning's inscription is: "nine heroines in central Hubei died heroically for the future generations. Before and after the peace of 1911, the imperial system was overthrown, and the ancient and modern worship system was overthrown. " Around the pier, flowers and trees are planted all over the place. Walking into jiunvdun Park, there is a tall and majestic jiunvdun monument. Behind the monument, there is a cemetery in which nine female soldiers of Taiping Army are buried. Around the cemetery, sweet scented osmanthus trees are planted everywhere. In the Mid Autumn Festival, the fragrance floats, making it solemn and solemn. Since jiunvdun is a tomb, why not call it jiunvdun instead? It turns out that there is a tragic story. It is said that in November 1856, Wuchang City, which was held by the Taiping army, was captured by the Qing army because of the Tianjing (now Nanjing) incident. After the Qing soldiers entered the city, they slaughtered the Taiping Army wantonly, but the Taiping army broke through the siege tenaciously, and had three breakout battles with the Qing soldiers, and the scene was extremely tragic. During the battle, nine female soldiers of Taiping Army died on the shore of East Lake.
Commemoration of later generations
Later, the local people admired the chastity of the nine women and buried their bodies by the East Lake. In order to avoid the destruction of the Qing army, people specially called the tomb pier. After liberation, the people's Government of Wuhan rebuilt the mausoleum and built a tall monument in front of it in memory of the nine unknown heroines. For this reason, Dong Biwu specially wrote "the tale of nine female piers", which was written by Zhang Nanxian and engraved on the front of the monument. On the left side of the monument is an inscription by Song Qingling, written by He Xiangning; on the right side is an inscription by Guo Moruo. Jiunvdun has been listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Hubei Province. Every time you come to the monument, you can feel the bravery of the nine female martyrs by reading the heavy and deep inscriptions and inspiring inscriptions.
historical significance
It turned out that the nine women were the heroines of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. They were all from Xingguo prefecture (now Yangxin County, Hubei Province). They died on the shore of the East Lake in the battle of Wuchang. The pier is the tomb, which is called the tomb to prevent the Qing army from destroying it. Looking at the huge tomb, there are many imaginations. Naturally, they are solemn and go around. They say that if the desolate yellow is replaced by green, it seems that they will have more vitality. However, it is enough to comfort the martyrs that they lie by the mountains and rivers and sleep in the quiet world and are not easily disturbed by the noise of today's cities.
Beside the tomb stands a granite stele built by the Wuhan municipal government in the 1950s. It is about eight meters high and red in color. There are three windows near the upper end. What's more, the whole stele is made up of two columns of different height, width and thickness, which are overlapped and inlaid with each other. The purpose of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom to liberate women is well known to all. At that time, this was really commendable. Maybe nine people died here, maybe more. The important thing is that such a collective representative created a spirit. The spirit is indeed abstract, but it is full of inheritance and induction, which spans time and space. On all sides of the monument are inscriptions mentioned by celebrities such as Dong Biwu, Song Qingling, Guo Moruo and He Xiangning in the early 1950s, which are very inspiring. At that time, just after liberation, the domestic situation was very good, and the principles and policies were also right. Symbolically erecting steles and writing articles was also one of the ways to convey the signals calling on everyone to strive for a better life.
During the revolution of 1911, there should be traces of entanglement on women's feet, when they just walked out of their boudoir and didn't adapt to the dazzling sunshine. However, it was such a time when they used their weakness to fight against violence and prove their strength, yelled at the bondage to wake up their deep sleep, and sought the happiness of women and the masses. No one knows their names, but they live in the hearts of admirers, and their spirit will always inspire future generations!

After 1949, the government rebuilt dunpeitu, built a foundation and erected a monument to commemorate it. The stone tablet is made of granite. It is about 8 meters high. Six copper bells are hung on the top of the tablet. The wind rings and the waves beat on the bank. It is like the fierce battle of the martyrs. On the front and side of the monument are inscriptions and inscriptions written by Dong Biwu, Song Qingling, Guo Moruo, He Xiangning and Zhang Nanxian. Behind the monument is a round grave covered with grass. On both sides of the broad road in front of the tomb are planted neat green cypresses. At the lake in the east corner of the monument stands a "kege Pavilion".
In the northwest of East Lake, there is a path full of verdant pines and cypresses. Along the steps, there is jiunvdun. In fact, jiunvdun is a sculpture composed of several rectangular stone pillars. It is located on a square platform. There are four osmanthus trees with ball shape around the platform. Jiunvdun's big characters are eye-catching and graceful. It is inscribed by Ms. He Xiangning, On the right side of the stele is the inscription of Ms. Song Qingling and the inscription of Ms. He Xiangning, which records the deeds of the female soldiers who fought bravely against the Qing Dynasty in Wuchang. Right behind the stele is a huge tomb, symbolizing nine unknown female loyalists.
