Suojiang tower is located on the edge of the Yangtze River in Jiujiang City. If you want to enter Jiujiang waters by boat, the pagoda of suojiang tower (Wenfeng tower) will come into view. Therefore, suojiang tower has become the symbol of Jiujiang. Suojiang tower was originally built on one floor and one tower. In 1586, Wu Xiu, then governor of Jiujiang, raised money to build suojiang tower on huilongji, which is near Jiujiang river. It was called Jiangtian Suoyue tower. It was three stories high and had four iron oxen beside it. Later, a 25.26-meter-high pagoda was built in the south of the tower, called Wenfeng tower, also known as Huilong tower. There are wooden ladders in the tower that can spiral up.
