Located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, it starts from Mingzhu road in the north, South to nanhuancheng road in the south, Renmin Street in the West and Yatai street in the East, covering an area of 92 hectares, including 11.8 hectares of water area. The garden gathers 454 pieces (groups) of sculpture works of 404 sculptors from 216 countries and regions.

Changchun World Sculpture Park is a theme park integrating contemporary sculpture art and displaying world sculpture art schools. It is a modern urban sculpture park integrating natural landscape and cultural landscape. It is the venue of Changchun World Sculpture conference and Changchun International Sculpture Works invitation exhibition. It has won the only Sculpture Park achievement award in the "new China urban sculpture construction achievement award".

As of June 2020, five World Sculpture conferences and the 20th International Sculpture exhibition have been held in Changchun World Sculpture Park.

In order to pay tribute to the medical workers struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, Changchun World Sculpture Garden will implement the preferential policy of free opening to the national medical workers from the date of resumption of operation to December 31, 2020.

Brief introduction of the park

Changchun World Sculpture Park was built in 2000 and officially opened to the public on September 5, 2003. It is a large-scale modern sculpture art theme park characterized by the integration of natural landscape and cultural landscape, with the theme of "friendship, peace and spring" and the concept of integration of eastern and Western culture and art. Famous works in the park include "tiemajinge" created by Mr. Cheng Yunxian, Chen Yungang's "the river goes to the East", German sculptor maihias's "peace" and African Makonde's wood carvings. These works will be permanently displayed in the park for people's appreciation in combination with the natural landscape characteristics.

The natural topography of the garden and its natural clear water are rare sculpture garden environment. The plan adopts the idea of combining Chinese tradition with Western gardening theory and modern planning concept to achieve the harmonious unity of nature and humanity. The main entrance gate and the arc-shaped guide walls on both sides are symmetrically arranged along the central axis to complement each other; the asymmetric landscape square, with ingenious axis turning, echoes the theme sculpture through the arch bridge. The winding No.1 and No.2 garden roads, like jade belts, are surrounded by the clear water of the lake, and the four groups of landscape long walls and giant dragons tend to spray water in the center of the lake, forming the rhythmic beauty of movement and stillness, truth and melody.

The sculpture art museum is the main building in Changchun World Sculpture Park. It has a construction area of 12500 square meters. It collects and displays more than 1000 rare African Makonde wood carvings and classic works of sculptors at home and abroad. The shape design of the art gallery is unique, and it is an exquisite sculpture. There is a special exhibition area in the museum to display different styles of art from five continents. The museum also has exhibition rooms, classrooms, international conference rooms and sculpture creation studios. With complete functions and first-class facilities, the museum provides a world for sculpture lovers to show themselves and feel the artistic charm. The museum also has hundreds of the world's most magical African Makonde wood carvings, as well as a large number of fine sculptures of famous Chinese and foreign sculptors that have been or are being collected, which make visitors forget to return.

In 2008, French sculptor Rodin's "the thinker" settled in Changchun World Sculpture Garden, enhancing its popularity. Rodin's sculpture was only more than 70 centimeters high. Later, the French magnified it three times, made it into a mold and cast it in limited quantity. Therefore, it is generally recognized that the original mold casting work is the real one. There are only dozens of original mold casting works in the world. Changchun is the only original work in China. Entering the gate of the park, visitors can see the real face of the sculpture at first sight. It took Changchun city nearly three years to do a lot of work to introduce this sculpture from the Rodin Museum in France, with an investment of about 1 million yuan. The "thinker" sculpture is placed on the central axis of Changchun world sculpture garden. People passing through the main entrance of Changchun world sculpture garden can see this art treasure. The introduction of the thinker marks that Changchun world sculpture garden has established a mainstream position in the world. Peng Zushu art museum is open to the public from 9:00 to 16:00 every day. The museum mainly displays 82 pieces of micro carvings of "the story of stone" completed by Peng Zushu, a famous Chinese master of Arts and crafts, after ten years. Peng Zushu introduced that his work "the story of the stone" adopts the art of variety micro carving, integrating literature, painting, calligraphy, seal cutting, micro carving, carving and other arts, which is the first time in China. This work is a stone Book completed in early 2002 after Peng Zushu retired, which lasted eight years and two years. This stone book is based on a dream of Red Mansions, which is 80 chapters of Qi Liao Sheng's preface. Each chapter contains 82 pieces of stone, together with the preface and postscript. The stone with the largest number of words is more than 11000 words, and the stone with the smallest number is more than 3600 words, with a total of more than 600000 words. In addition to micro engraving words, each chapter also summarizes the central idea of each chapter as images, which are engraved around the stone to frankly state the author's point of view. According to the introduction, the stones used in this book are all top-quality seal stones, including Changhua Tianhuang stone, balinfu Huangshi stone, Changhua and balinjixue stone, Shoushan Furong stone, litchi stone and Qingtian Fengmen stone, etc., which contain more than 50 kinds of famous seal stones. It should be said that the famous stones in the north and south of the river are concentrated together. Each stone is as big as a book, and as small as a palm. It is colorful, square or round, with different shapes. The characters are carved in the center of the seal stone. The characters are like the head of a fly, and the pen is like spider silk. Under the ten times magnifying glass, the pen is meticulous, elegant and fluent. It reproduces the posture of calligraphy with a strong aura of gold and stone. Peng Zushu said that the color selection, design and content of the 82 stones are consistent with the content of a dream of Red Mansions. Different from other people's engraving of a dream of Red Mansions, he focused on the philosophical stories in the book, so as to make people think deeply and reflect.

On February 20, 2007, Changchun World Sculpture Garden, together with 20 parks including Beijing Summer Palace and Suzhou Humble Administrator's garden, was approved by the Ministry of construction as the first batch of national key parks in China. Changchun World Sculpture Garden integrates the art schools of various countries, well combines many excellent works left by the 8th Changchun sculpture exhibition with the superior natural conditions of Southern Changchun, integrates natural landscape and humanistic characteristics, not only shows the design art of Chinese landscape architecture, but also shows the blending and collision of eastern and Western culture and art, known as "solidifying the music" "The garden of the world's sculpture art" and "the back garden of the world's sculpture art" were selected as the first batch of national key parks in China with high artistic and cultural value.
