Shijingshan amusement park

Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park is located on the West extension of Chang'an Street, 15km away from Tian'anmen. It has more than 100 large and medium-sized entertainment projects. It is an earlier amusement park in Beijing and a memory of a generation's childhood. Shijingshan Amusement Park Temple Fair is one of the eight major temple fairs in Beijing. At present, the amusement park has two main theme areas: the "adventure world" which is located in the east of the park, mainly for teenagers, reflecting mystery, adventure and excitement, and the "fantasy world" which is located in the west of the park, mainly for family games, suitable for all ages and full of fairy tale color.

Historical evolution

North expansion project

The North expansion project of Shijingshan Amusement Park has been completed. The newly built "fantasy world" and "adventure world" theme entertainment areas cover an area of 100000 square meters, with a number of new theme entertainment projects, such as Jurassic exploration, hurricane, King Kong magic wheel, etc. The North expansion project of the amusement park took two years. The former amusement park, which covers an area of more than 200000 square meters, was expanded by 100000 square meters, increasing the area of nearly "half a park". Nearly one third of the 32 new projects in the two major theme entertainment areas belong to new projects that the city has never had. These projects introduce the latest foreign technology, domestic design, production, the use of sound, light, electricity, modern digital and other means. In the "adventure world" theme area, supported by the Asia's largest water theme torrent adventure project "Jones Adventure", new Jurassic exploration, hurricane, King Kong magic wheel and other projects are added; in the "fantasy world" theme area, there are music boat, fruit and vegetable tribe, ocean party, viewing tower, oli water war and other projects, which will bring people a new entertainment experience.

South expansion project

In the planning, Shijingshan Amusement Park not only has the North expansion project, but also plans to expand the park outward to build an "dream world" indoor theme area. However, the plan has not yet made clear the specific opening schedule of "dream world" after a vote jump.

The proposed "dream world" project is a regional and beautiful building with European and American style, integrating ornamental, practical and artistic features. It is estimated to cover an area of 20000 square meters, with a construction area of 100000 square meters. It can receive about 5000 people a day and 1.7 million people a year. In the plan, the internal space of the project is divided into four floors above the ground and one floor underground. The dome height of the building is 45 meters. It is planned to build 26 large and medium-sized theme projects and 10 theme restaurants, such as McDonald's, KFC, Edwards bear, salapol and other famous brand stores. 10 theme stores, mainly tourist souvenirs and brand goods, such as Nike, Adidas, St. Paul, etc. Two performance theaters will also be built for exotic art performances. Focusing on the theme of "unlimited joy", the performance will integrate entertainment, leisure, shopping, catering, fitness and other functions, fully demonstrate the charm of modern cultural and entertainment activities, and attract tourists at home and abroad. " After the completion of "dream world", it will become the first-class and largest indoor theme park in China. It will be full of great vitality and vitality, attract the attention of tourists at home and abroad, provide Beijing citizens with an all-weather and high-quality entertainment space, overcome the disadvantages of half a year's leisure of amusement parks in the north of the Yangtze River, and become a high-grade and all-weather new type of amusement park to meet the needs of various consumer groups Indoor entertainment center. If completed, Shijingshan Amusement Park will become a world-class large theme park and a tourist destination in Beijing. Its external special-shaped structure gives people a strong visual impact and will become a bright pearl on the extension line of West Chang'an Street in Beijing.

Ferris wheel shutdown

The ferris wheel, which accompanies the growth of a generation, has witnessed the rapid development of Beijing in the past 30 years. The 29 year old Shijingshan Amusement Park Ferris wheel, the first Ferris wheel in Beijing, officially stopped operation on May 1, 2015. The last group of passengers arrived on May 1. There was an endless stream of people coming to take the ferris wheel, waiting in long lines under the bright sun.

The ferris wheel is 55 meters high and has 36 cabins, each of which can hold six people. It takes 12 minutes to run a circle. The staff of the amusement park said that after the old Ferris wheel was removed, a bigger Ferris wheel will be built to replace the existing Ferris wheel and become a new landmark in Beijing.

Main attractions

East Area

From the West extension of Chang'an Street in Beijing to the South Gate of Shijingshan Amusement Park, you will be immediately attracted by the beautiful rural scenery. Here the flowers and trees are lush, and the thrilling amusement equipment is dotted with them. West Area

Adventure World

When you enter the "adventure world", there are layers of tropical rainforests, and you can't see the edge. A wooden boat docked between them is called the "Noah boat", which is the trace left by the adventurers. Here is a paradise for the brave. There are more than ten levels scattered around the world of adventure. They have different styles and are waiting for the warriors to conquer them one by one.

Fantasy World

The theme area of "fantasy world" skillfully integrates Chinese and Western cultures, highlighting the characteristics of "Family Tour and children's tour", so that tourists can enjoy exotic customs without going abroad.
