Development and evolution

In November 1958, the construction of Longhekou reservoir was started. In the early stage, the construction of Shucheng county government office was the main task.

In April 1961, the construction of Longhekou reservoir was stopped.

In October 1965, Longhekou reservoir resumed construction and was included in the infrastructure project.

In October 1969, Longhekou reservoir was completed.

On April 26, 1978, at the first tourism working conference of Anhui Province, Hefei Longhekou (Wanfo Lake) was determined as a special tourism line.

In the spring of 1994, Shucheng people's government signed the "agreement on joint development of tourism resources of Longhekou reservoir", and then carried out publicity in Anhui Daily, Hefei evening news, tourism guide and other newspapers in the name of "Wanfo Lake".

In 1995, Shucheng county Party committee and government formed the leading group for the overall planning of Wanfo scenic tourist resort.

In 2016, Shucheng county government carried out the construction of Wanfo lake south bank Island upgrading project, north bank building reconstruction and upgrading project, five island wharf construction projects, as well as the purchase of boats, scenic area roads, greening, signs and so on.

In 2017, Shucheng county government started the construction of the road around Wanfo lake.
