Douyan scenic spot

Douyan is located in Paitou town in the southwest of Zhuji City, 12 kilometers away from Zhuji City, with an area of 5.5 square kilometers. It is an integral part of Wuxie national scenic spot. There are three kinds of names for Douyan: first, the mountain here is very steep, which is called Douyan by local people. Douyan is similar to Douyan in local pronunciation. Second, the mountain peaks here are scattered and uneven, and the shape is like the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper is called "Dou Su", so it has this name.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery, enjoy the scenery of mountains and rivers

When you reach Douyan scenic area, you can see Douyan Buddha when you look up from afar. The Giant Buddha is located on the east side of the West Huangshan Mountain in the scenic area. The whole Buddha statue is composed of a huge rock. In addition to the slightly decorated face, the outline of the whole statue is natural and natural. It is the first natural Giant Buddha in China. The statue is 81.6 meters high and consists of three parts: head, chest and abdomen. It is 21.4 meters higher than the Giant Buddha in Leshan, Sichuan. The Buddha has a big head and a small body, and its abdomen is hidden in the woods, in the shape of a sitting man. Buddha's head is 30 meters wide and 37 meters high. It has a kind face, a peaceful smile and a better farsightedness.

Jinjing Longtan is located on the left side of the mountain pass, near Yaotai. According to legend, it was granted "Jinjing Longtan" by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty. There is a cliff on the side of the pool, and the clear spring leaks out from the crack tap, forming a pool for a long time. The pool is about three meters long and about two meters deep. Tanbi clear spring is full of water all year round. No matter how long it rains or droughts, it never dries up or overflows. The spring water is crystal clear and sweet as Liquan. According to experts' detection, the spring water contains many kinds of trace elements, which are beneficial to health. Beside the pool, there is a stone tablet square, which is closed to the outside, with a plaque of "jinjinglongtan" hanging on it, and a couplet of "jinjinglongwangfu, baiyunxian family" engraved on the stone pillars on both sides. It is said that sometimes in the morning, the sun is red, and white fog can be seen here.

Baiyun Buddhist temple is located at the foot of Douyan mountain, the main peak of Douyan mountain. Here, there are luxuriant forests and bamboos, rich in cultural landscape. Visitors here mainly pay homage to Buddha. The temple is composed of Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Longwang hall and dongshanmen. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty and flourished in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is the gate of Cao Dongzong Buddhism. The temple faces south with its back against Douyan and faces Zhuji Buddha. Kuangping in front of the hall is paved with pebbles, with a incense burner in the middle and a small lotus building beside it. There are five couplets in the main hall, and the plaque of "Da Xiong Bao Dian" is hung on the door of the hall, which is inscribed by the famous calligrapher Shen Ding'an. In the hall, there are three rooms in one hall, offering Buddha statues such as Tathagata, Guanyin, Manjusri and Puxian, with 18 Arhats on both sides. To the east of the temple is the Dongshan gate, which is the entrance for tourists and pilgrims. Tianwang hall is located between dongshanmen and Daxiong hall, with red roof and yellow wall, majestic. Maitreya sits in the center of the hall, with four heavenly kings on both sides, and Weituo Dafa God on the back, reflecting the unified pattern of Buddhist temples in China.

The Dragon King Hall is on the west side of the temple, adjacent to the main hall. It is the place where the white horseshoe crab fairy is worshipped and the place for Taoist activities. It is very rare in China that Buddhism and Taoism live together and monks and scholars live together. The Dragon King Hall was built at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. It is said that there was a white horseshoe crab fairy in Douyan, who could call the wind and rain, and make clouds and fog. It once helped Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of Ming Dynasty, defeat the enemy. There are East and West arches in front of the hall with stone inlays. Donge is engraved with "dongkai pottery wall", which means Douyan mountain is beautiful. The inscription "Jingbi Gepi" on the West forehead is based on the allusion that in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, the Yellow turban uprising army and Bao Hong fought in Gepi, Henan Province, and the immortal Fei Changfang cast a stick to turn the Dragon into a dragon. It contains the legend that Douyan white horseshoe crab Fairy Weng Wu helped Zhu Yuanzhang defeat Zhang Shicheng and granted the title of "Dragon King". The center of the hall is dedicated to King Jinjing. It is said that he can get rid of the pestilence and eliminate the calamity, and seek wealth as he wishes. On the right side of the hall, Hua Tuo, a miracle doctor, was made. The mural dragon in the hall is intended for good weather. It is said that Liu Guangfu, the magistrate of Zhuji in the Ming Dynasty, Liu Shutian, the magistrate of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, and Liu Yinzhi, the magistrate of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, all adopted the Dragon King Hall to ask for rain to save the drought. There are many legends about "three Liu praying for rain".

Xishan gate is located in the west of Longwang hall, which is the exit of baiyun temple. The yellow wall is covered with black tiles, and the word "Lingyu Sangtian" is engraved on the forehead, which means good rain and abundant fertile fields. This is the old people's prayer for a good year. Next to the gate of Xishan Mountain, there is a thousand year old crape myrtle. It has gone through many vicissitudes and is old. Its twigs are curly and full of pimples. Its diameter at breast height is more than 40 cm. It blooms in summer and autumn every year. Its color is purple and its flowering period is more than four months. When visitors come here, if they scratch their bodies, their branches and leaves will vibrate slightly, so they are also called "Millennium tickle tree". Douyan is a unique scenic spot.

The whole Piedmont of Douyan mountain seems to have just risen from the bottom of the sea. It is composed of pebbles of different sizes. The peaks, cliffs and rocks all seem to be made up of spheres of different sizes. There are a lot of strange things and various forms, especially the main peak of Douyan. The cliff is cut vertically and horizontally. It looks like a gathering of thousands of Buddhas. The best place to visit the Thousand Buddhas in Douyan is the "Thousand Buddhas viewing platform" in xihuangling. Looking from afar at Douyan, the rocks are picturesque. They are not only like the pictures of 500 Luohan groups with fat and thin, but also like the pictures of the Thousand Buddhas of different sizes, with a round head and a big belly.

Climbing the cliff to reach the nine heavens

Jiutian Qiongtai, a climbing spot for amateur climbers and tourists, is located in the center of Douyan scenic spot. Tourists follow the road. On the right side of the road, there is a small hill. To the south of the hill, there is a cliff about 20 meters high. The rocks on the wall are purple red, and most of them are congealed by fist sized rocks. It's very dangerous, just like man-made mud and stone. Below is a basketball court size flat, paved with pebbles, surrounded by trees block out the sun, is the ideal rock climbing field. If you want to participate, the scenic area has a full set of equipment for you, and is equipped with professional and technical personnel on-site coach and guidance, so there is no problem with safety. Climbing on the top of Qiongtai, you can see a pavilion called Yaotai. Outside the pavilion, there are three fences and inside there are three unifying corridors with different designs and ingenious ideas. There are four couplets engraved on the porch pillars, such as "walking on the TIANTI, Yaotai, going to the banquet, listing the immortals, Banxi, TianChao Buddha". There is a big drum with a diameter of three meters inside the gallery. It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang's Department beat the 200000 troops of Zhang Shicheng. It is said that many of the wishes made here have come true. If you sit on the stone chair of Yaotai, you can not only see the "Zhuji Buddha" close at hand, but also overlook the thousand Buddha style of Douyan. If you can't try rock climbing, you can go up the Yaotai by 86 steps on the left side and enjoy the scenery by drumming.

This is another place for rock climbing, located on the cliff behind baiyun temple. The cliff is about 90 degrees, very steep. The rock is similar to Yaotai. There is a big crack in the middle, from the top of the mountain to the middle of the mountain, about 200 meters long. It is said that it was struck by the thunder. Standing at the bottom of the cliff and looking up at the sky, it seems that there is a white light rushing into the sky in the crack, piercing into the blue sky, "a line breaking the sky" gets its name from this. If you want to see clearly, you have to climb to the waist of the mountain. Because it's difficult to climb here, it's usually for professional athletes.

View the rural scenery and taste the farm fruits and vegetables

Standing on the top of Douyan mountain, you can see the idyllic scenery in the south of the Yangtze River.
