Xiazhu lake, also known as Fangfeng lake and Fengzhu lake, is located in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, north of Hangzhou. It is 40 kilometers away from the center of Hangzhou and 4 kilometers away from the Deqing exit of Hangzhou Nanjing Expressway. It is the largest wetland scenic spot in Jiangnan, with an area of 10 square kilometers and a main lake of 3.4 square kilometers.

Xiazhu Lake Wetland scenic spot is a newly developed natural ecological scenic spot in Deqing County. The purpose of the scenic spot is ecological protection, which fully embodies the characteristics of nature, wild and far away from noise. The main scenic spots in the first phase of the scenic spot are: Daoguan mountain, monk mountain, meimeifeng, bird reserve, ancient ZhangQun, Wanghu Pavilion, lovers pine, Lushang exploration, bamboo house leisure, international resort (under construction). In the northwest of the lake, there are Fangfeng temple, shouchang ancient bridge, bat temple, Fengshan Shijing, etc. Xiazhu lake is a typical natural lake wetland with diverse landscape, which is one of the most complete natural wetlands in its original state. There are more than 600 small and large mounds in the lower * Zhu Lake area, mostly in the early bamboo garden or mulberry garden. The largest mounds are the mountain islands, with an area of about 50 hectares, and the highest elevation is 6.6 meters. Xiazhu lake has a pier (Island) in the lake, and a lake in the pier (Island). The harbor branches crisscross like a labyrinth, forming a unique water landscape with crisscross water network. There are Cinnamomum camphora, mulberry, Pterocarya stenoptera, bamboo and other plants growing on the high ground, including 60 hectares of bamboo garden and 3 hectares of mulberry garden. In the low-lying area, the reed is floating and the silver grass is full of light. The reed marsh covers an area of about 25 hectares and the water bamboo garden covers an area of about 5 hectares. Xiazhu lake is rich in aquatic products such as red lotus, water chestnut, lotus root, fish, shrimp, mussel, eel and turtle. Yudang has a total area of about 55 hectares and paddy field area of about 10 hectares. It is one of the breeding bases of "Ou Shiman" Pearl and "water spirit" green shrimp. Xiazhu Lake's farm food is unique, Xiazhu lake spring and autumn hotel's characteristic farm food and Jiangnan ancient wood restaurant attract many tourists to taste and enjoy. Xiazhu Lake wetland is a paradise for birds, mainly inhabiting egrets and grey Herons in summer and wild ducks in winter. Waterfowl has become a major landscape of the wetland.

In the East, there are dense wetlands with river networks and lakes, mainly with aquatic vegetation. In Xiazhu lake, there are dense bamboos growing on the mounds and mounds. The forests are quiet and elegant, while the wild reeds grow along the lake. The forest vegetation division of the scenic spot belongs to the northern part of the mid subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest. The primary vegetation is mainly evergreen broad-leaved forest, with a wide variety of plants, including more than 500 species of higher plants. Among them, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Ginkgo biloba, Lysimachia fortunei, Liriodendron chinense, Cephalotaxus fortunei, Cinnamomum camphora, Taxus chinensis, Curcuma Tianmu, Magnolia Tianmu, Bauhinia, Magnolia officinalis, Magnolia officinalis and Phoebe chekiangensis belong to the first, second and third national protected plants. A large number of ancient Cinnamomum camphora trees grow on the * mountain island. The oldest large camphor tree has a hundred years old.

Xiazhu Lake area belongs to the eastern hilly plain subregion of the Oriental fauna area. It is dominated by farmland fauna, such as quail, sparrow, frog, carp, loach, catfish, etc. there are about 377 species, among which white crane, mandarin duck, Swertia are rare animals. In Xiazhu lake, there are many fishing bars, fish and shrimp leaping, and lush aquatic plants, which attract hundreds of birds to inhabit. Wild ducks, egrets, sand gulls and other birds can be seen everywhere, as well as pheasant, red billed black pheasant, kingfisher and so on, and the variety is increasing. According to the data, there are more than 160 species of wild rare birds and birds living in the water grass and swamp in Xiazhu Lake area, and there are more than 20 species of protected wild birds and birds, such as leech, little egret, heron, cormorant, kingfisher, wild duck, etc. there are more than 10000 egrets under the second level national protection. A large number of wild birds are concentrated in the areas of Heshang mountain and Daoguan mountain for foraging, habitat and breeding, so it has been designated as a wild bird reserve by relevant departments.

Traffic information: self driving from Shanghai, Shanghai, Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway, under the exit of Linping, through 09 provincial roads or from Tung Tau Road to Wutong Lake in Deqing City, Tongxiang, the whole journey takes about two hours from Hangzhou upper middle river elevated to Hangzhou Ningxia expressway, and at the exit of Deqing to Qian yuan and new city, it passes through 09 provincial road to Deqing lake, and the whole journey is about half an hour.
