When Junshan was an island in the sea, it was said that it was the place where the king of Qin stationed troops. It was also called Xiangshan because it looked like a Fu elephant. Overlooking Junshan, the mountains and rivers depend on each other to form a picture of eight trigrams.
Historical sites on the mountain include: yanzhenren cave, baiyunquan, Sixian temple, Baogong temple, Dong Qichang stele and the earliest privately run Meteorological Observatory in Chinese history.

Development history
In the Ming Dynasty, FA Kong, a famous monk of Shanxi Province, settled in xijunshan and founded Putuo Buddhist temple. The general of Langshan went out on the list. Dong Qichang, a famous calligrapher, wrote the stele of Putuo other temple in Junshan, which thinks that compared with Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang Province, Luojia's true state is not reduced. There were more than 100 temples and banqueting halls, which used to be a Buddhist resort in Southeast China. Historical sites on the mountain include: yanzhenren cave, baiyunquan, Sixian temple, Baogong temple, Dong Qichang stele and the earliest privately run Meteorological Observatory in Chinese history.
The rebuilt putuobieyuan, facing south from the north, is based on the mountain terraced structure. Yuantong hall is dedicated to the thousand handed Avalokitesvara. The feicui Guanyin building is dedicated to the world's largest jadeite statue of Guanyin. 33 stone statues of Yingshen Guanyin are painted on the two sides of the corridor. The fascinating Buddhist Guanyin culture is concentrated and fully expressed here. There are dozens of new landscapes, such as the archway of scenic spot, the first Guanyin Jingping in China, Grand View waterfall, viewing gallery, Wangjiang terrace, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, etc., which are integrated with Qingbi stream and verdant forest.
In the later development of the scenic spot, efforts will be made to build "Oriental health culture Holy Land" - Chinese health garden. Relying on the natural scenery and the charm of Jianghai and the reputation of Nantong's "first longevity village", we should carry forward the Chinese culture of the Confucian road and folk culture, and the future Jun Shan Scenic spot will become a wonderful flower in the East China Tourism section.
