Gaozhou Museum
Gaozhou museum is a comprehensive museum at the county (city) level, which is subordinate to the Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and publication of Gaozhou. There are 6 staff, including 4 with college degree or above and 1 with deputy senior title. The museum was formerly known as the "cultural relics museum" established in 1961. The museum was officially established in April 1985. From its establishment to 2002, the site of the museum was changed. At the end of 2002, the local government allocated several properties located on Guanshan Mountain in the west of Gaozhou City to the Museum for renovation and utilization. Since then, the museum has relatively perfect facilities and officially opened to the public.
Development history
It is a famous scenic mountain in Gaozhou City, known as one of the "Lingnan 100 sceneries". There are many Ming and Qing buildings on the mountain, which is a cultural relic protection unit in Gaozhou City. In addition, there is a hotel built at present. Comrade Jiang Zemin stayed here when he attended the "Three Stresses" education conference in Gaozhou in 2000, adding a heavy humanistic charm to the mountain view. The museum building has a unique advantage against the natural and cultural environment of mountain view, and has become a new cultural landscape in Gaozhou City. The Museum covers a total area of 1500 square meters, which is divided into three parts: independent exhibition hall, warehouse and office. The exhibition hall is a magnificent two-story antique building with an area of more than 700 square meters.

Basic Display
At present, the basic display is "Gaozhou historical relics display", which displays more than 200 cultural relics of different periods according to the times, all of which are local unearthed or handed down cultural relics. In addition, the special exhibitions and temporary exhibitions held since the relocation include two roving exhibitions organized by Guangdong Provincial Museum through the exhibition exchange network of museums across the province, namely, "stories in antiques - Exhibition of cultural relics with historical themes" and "Guangdong Provincial Nature Reserve and rare animal specimen Exhibition", and "Shenzhou V spacecraft and Aerospace Model Exhibition" jointly organized by Guangdong Provincial Museum and its brother units "The magical underwater world - Marine specimens Exhibition", hosted "Gaozhou revolutionary struggle history exhibition", "Gaozhou recent archaeological survey achievements exhibition", "modern cultural relics collection achievements exhibition", etc. These exhibitions and exhibitions have received more than 130000 visitors, and have received very obvious social benefits.
Collection
The collection of the museum mainly consists of local cultural relics and specimens. The main sources of the collection are the handed down cultural relics collected when the museum was established in 1961 and the unearthed cultural relics collected during the general survey of cultural relics from 1982 to 1984. In addition, some of the collections have been collected in various ways in recent years. There are 1818 pieces (sets) of cultural relics and specimens, including 1 piece of grade I, 31 pieces (sets) of grade II and 454 pieces (sets) of grade III. The variety is relatively complete, mainly ceramic ware and ancient calligraphy and painting, with bronze, iron, lacquer wood, jade, revolutionary cultural relics, folk cultural relics, etc. among them, the number of ancient calligraphy and painting is the most abundant, with a total of 301 pieces (sets). A large bronze drum with cloud and thunder patterns in the Southern Dynasty has been designated as a national first-class cultural relic. In addition, there are also exquisite cultural relics, such as bronze daggers with face patterns from Shang and Zhou dynasties, a set of measuring tools for Han talc, ink and wash banners "reindeer" from Badashan people in the Qing Dynasty, running script couplets by Kang Youwei, soft pottery with sand, a teapot with inner ear, and a blue and white glazed red nine peach shaped bottle from Gaozhou kiln.
Over the years, the museum has also sorted out a large number of archaeological and cultural materials, published monographs such as "history of Gaozhou county", "history of Gaozhou", "relics of Gaozhou", "Research on Madame Xian of Gaozhou", "Research on Madame Xian of Gaozhou", "investigation on social history of Gaozhou", "selected photos of calligraphy and painting in Gaozhou collection", "Atlas of coins in Gaozhou collection" and "historical and cultural resources of Gaozhou City", etc., and assisted the museum in the development The administrative department has sorted out a large number of archives of cultural relics protection units at all levels, application materials for famous historical and cultural cities, protection planning for famous historical and cultural cities, etc., and published 45 academic articles / time in journals at all levels, with remarkable academic achievements.
Land purchase in Tang Dynasty unearthed in Wuchuan
