Stalagmite Park
Stalagmite park is located in the southwest suburb of Licheng District, Guishan outside the flood dike on the North Bank of Jinjiang River, which belongs to the jurisdiction of Fuqiao street.
The origin of history
It is famous for its long history of stalagmites in the park. Stalagmite park is an open park. The whole park is an original ecological park with green grass, dense ancient trees and rippling water beside the pavilion. The most eye-catching part of the park is the stalagmite, a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The stalagmite is about 4 meters high. It is composed of seven sections of granite with different sizes. The cone is gradually thin and bald from bottom to top. The base is decorated with diagonal lines. The stone surface is rough and the shape is peculiar and simple. Stalagmites existed in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Wang Shipeng wrote poems with the sentence "Erythrina is the city and stone is the bamboo shoot". Some foreign scholars believe that stalagmite is the Hindu Linga, which is the worship of the Hindu god Shiva's genitalia; on the other hand, it is the idea of geography, which plays the role of coordinating Yin and Yang with the double breast peaks of the opposite mountain. Because of the existence of stalagmites, the main stream of Jinjiang River flows through this section of Mingzhu river. The bridge across the river is called "stalagmite bridge", which is also a municipal cultural relics protection unit. Another famous landscape in the park is the Jieguan Pavilion, a municipal cultural relics protection unit. It was founded in the Song Dynasty. It is said that it was built to welcome the young master of the Song Dynasty to visit the spring and rebuilt in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. There is a couplet written by Zhang ruitu, a calligrapher of the Ming Dynasty, a tablet written by Li Guangjin, a Jinshi of the Ming Dynasty in Wanli period, a portrait of Guanyin by Zhang yunqu, a famous pontoon man, who collected the handwriting of Wang Xizhi, four "bamboo paintings" by Cai Yan, a calligrapher and painter of all dynasties, and wood carvings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the park, historical sites such as mountain and river altar, Gantang bridge, Guishan bridge and Tangyin bridge (commonly known as "three bridges") can be seen everywhere.
Development status
In order to create a good carrier of folk culture and make it play a positive role in condensing family and hometown feelings in the new era, the street has invested a lot of manpower and material resources in recent years, digging and sorting out on the basis of the original historical and cultural relics, starting to plan and build a Suburban Park integrating culture, ecology, religion and leisure, and striving to create a floating bridge characteristic cultural brand.
