Xinglin College of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine was founded by Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine in July 2001. It is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate college (Independent College) focusing on cultivating applied talents of traditional Chinese medicine. Under the leadership of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine, Xinglin University strictly implements the party's education policy, inherits and carries forward the excellent school spirit of "diligence and pragmatism", adheres to the school running idea of "two excellence, two emphasis and one adaptation", highlights the school running characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, and teaches students in accordance with their aptitude.

Xinglin college is now the vice president unit of "China Association of independent colleges" and the president unit of "Medical College Committee of China Association of independent colleges". The school has won the honorary titles of "Shenyang May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee", "advanced Party branch" and "national advanced independent college". In 2012, as the representative of Liaoning independent college, it won the Liaoning May 1st Medal (individual). Relying on the discipline foundation of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine, Xinglin University scientifically sets up majors and directions according to the needs of modern Chinese medicine technology development and social and economic development, and enrolls students nationwide. At present, the college has five departments of traditional Chinese medicine, integrative medicine, acupuncture and massage, nursing, and pharmacy, which respectively offer specialties of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, clinical medicine of Chinese and Western medicine, rehabilitation therapy, nursing, traditional Chinese medicine, pharmaceutical engineering, resources and development of traditional Chinese medicine, pharmacy management, health service and management, health inspection and quarantine, etc. It has formed a school running pattern with clinical specialty as the main body, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, nursing, pharmacy cross penetration, coordinated development of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic education.

Relying on the strong teaching staff and rich educational resources of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine, Xinglin university has established a high-quality full-time and part-time teaching team by adopting the new mechanism. More than 90% of the teachers have doctor's and master's degrees, and 60% have the title of professor and associate professor, which ensures the quality of education and teaching and the quality of personnel training.

Xinglin university constantly innovates the talent training mode, vigorously carries out all kinds of teaching reform, and steadily improves the quality of talent training. In the past three years, the average admission rate of medical graduates has reached 25% (the total admission rate of medical colleges and universities in China is 13%), and has been among the best in the postgraduate examination of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine for three consecutive years. In 2018, the postgraduate examination of medical graduates of our college reached a new high, with 290 people reaching the national score line. A large number of graduates entered provincial and municipal hospitals through postgraduate education. Over the past four years, hundreds of people have won the first, second and third prizes of the "Challenge Cup" extracurricular academic and technological works competition and entrepreneurship competition. One thousand people have been awarded excellent student cadres, excellent graduates, national scholarships, provincial government scholarships, national inspirational scholarships, etc.

In 2017, our team stood out from more than 200 colleges and universities and more than 500 hospitals, won the third place in the national finals of Huangdi Neijing competition organized by the Ministry of education, and was recognized and praised by the Ministry of education, the education index Commission, the National Colleges of traditional Chinese medicine and peers. In the same year's "learning typhoid fever, back typhoid fever" competition, Xinglin team achieved another good result and won the fourth place in the country.

In recent three years, the graduate rate of our college has reached 100%, and the degree acquisition rate has reached more than 97%. A large number of graduates have been admitted to colleges and universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing. They have 32 internship hospitals in 9 cities. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has been stable. In 2014, our hospital signed a friendly cooperation agreement with Japan's NPO international medical and welfare talent training institution to jointly promote the international development of nursing. In 2016, the collaborative education project of industry university cooperation was approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, making the industry university cooperation to a new level; in 2017, the National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training base was officially launched and put into use.
