Chuxiong Normal University is a full-time undergraduate university in Yunnan Province. In May 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, Chuxiong Normal College was established on the basis of the merger of Chuxiong Normal College and Chuxiong Normal School for nationalities, integrating full-time ordinary higher education with continuing education, vocational and technical education and radio and television education.
