Hexi University is a provincial undergraduate college. School running history: the predecessor of Hexi college is Gansu Provincial Zhangye normal school established in 1941. It has gone through Zhangye normal college and Zhangye teachers college. In 2000, it was merged into the former Zhangye agricultural school (established in 1941) and Zhangye vocational secondary school. In 2001, it was upgraded to Hexi college. In 2014, it was merged into the former Zhangye Medical College and Zhangye people's hospital to form a new Hexi college. It has a school running history of more than 70 years.
