Chaohu college, formerly known as Chaohu normal college founded at the end of 1977, was upgraded and renamed "Chaohu College" with the approval of the Ministry of education in April 2002, which is subordinate to the Department of education of Anhui Province. Since its establishment, the university has been based on Chaohu, facing the whole province, radiating the whole country and looking to the world. At present, the college has 12 departments, including economics and law department, foreign language department, physical education department, computer science and Technology Department, history, tourism and Culture Department, Chinese Department, mathematics department, management department, physics and electronic science department, chemistry and materials science department, education department and art department, as well as ideological and political theory teaching department, university foreign language teaching department and experimental teaching center. In the course of more than 30 years of running a school, the school has paid attention to combining the reality and giving full play to its advantages in personnel training, education and teaching, scientific research and the construction of teaching staff, especially in the construction of disciplines and specialties, highlighting key disciplines and developing local characteristics.
