Anhui Xinhua university is located in the south of Dashushan Forest Park in Hefei National High tech Industrial Development Zone. It is a provincial undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of education and has the right to confer bachelor's degree. In May 2005, the University was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of education. In December of the same year, the Party committee of Anhui Xinhua University was officially established, becoming the first private university in Anhui Province to establish a party committee. In 2009, it successfully passed the evaluation of bachelor's degree awarding right and became the first private undergraduate university in Anhui Province to obtain bachelor's degree awarding right. In 2013, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of education and became the first private undergraduate university in Anhui Province to pass the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of education. In 2015, it was successfully approved as the construction unit of Anhui application-oriented high-level university. In 2016, the University achieved a new breakthrough in the joint training of graduate students.

The school covers an area of more than 1500 mu, with a building area of more than 500000 square meters. There are more than 23000 students of various types. There are 11 secondary colleges and 2 teaching departments. At present, there are 60 undergraduate majors and 22 specialized majors, basically forming a discipline system with the coordinated development of economics, management, engineering, medicine (Medicine), arts, arts and other disciplines.
