Tarim University, formerly known as Tarim Agricultural University, is located in Alar City on the Bank of Tarim River. He personally wrote the name of the school and served as an honorary president before he died. It obtained the right to confer master's degree in 2003 and renamed Tarim University with the approval of the Ministry of education in May 2004.
