Yulin Normal University

Yulin Normal University is located in the hometown of famous linguist Wang Li, an excellent tourist city in China and a thousand year old city Yulin in the southeast of Guangxi, covering an area of 1746 mu. It is a full-time undergraduate university directly under the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The school was founded in 1945, formerly known as Guangxi provincial Yulin Normal School. In the spring of 1952, it was renamed Yulin Normal School. In 1958, it was upgraded to Guangxi Yulin Normal College, and began to recruit college students of higher education level. In 1962, it was renamed Yulin Normal School. In 1978, Yulin Teachers College was restored with the approval of the State Council. In 1994, it was renamed Yulin Teachers College. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Yulin Teachers College, Yulin Institute of education, Yulin vocational and technical college and Yulin Branch of Guangxi Radio and Television University were merged and upgraded to Yulin Teachers College. In 2007, he successfully passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education with excellent results. In 2013, it was listed as the construction project unit of Guangxi new master's degree awarding unit, and in 2014, it was listed as the construction project unit of Guangxi new master's degree awarding unit. In the same year, he began to train master of education with Shaanxi Normal University and Guangxi Normal University. In 2015, it became the first batch of comprehensive reform pilot colleges and overall transformation pilot colleges in the autonomous region. In 2016, he became the chairman unit of Guangxi Application-oriented Undergraduate University Alliance, and was selected as the cooperative University of China's "hundred school project" by the Ministry of education. Since its establishment, the university has realized the transformation from resource integration and strength gathering to rapid development. Now it has developed into a comprehensive undergraduate university with the characteristics of teacher education, including undergraduate education, higher vocational and technical education, adult higher education and international student education.

The university has 17 secondary colleges, covering 10 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, agriculture, art, and 59 general undergraduate majors. The university enrolls students from 25 provinces (cities, autonomous regions) and Southeast Asian countries. There are 17542 full-time students on campus, and a certain number of senior high school students are recruited. 101 graduate students are jointly trained (jointly trained with Shaanxi Normal University, Guangxi Normal University and other universities).

There are a number of key scientific research platforms and bases based on the construction of the University, including 1 Provincial Key Laboratory (Key Laboratory of chemistry and Biotechnology of agricultural resources in Guangxi), 2 key laboratories in Guangxi Universities (Key Laboratory of efficient utilization of characteristic agricultural resources in Southeast Guangxi, Key Laboratory of complex system optimization and big data processing in Guangxi Universities), and 2 humanities and Social Sciences in Guangxi universities There are three key disciplines in Guangxi: Applied Mathematics, biochemical engineering and modern Chinese literature.
