Yancheng Normal University is a public undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province. It is located in Yancheng City, an open coastal city in Jiangsu Province. The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Yancheng normal college and Yancheng Institute of education. In 2002, Yancheng commercial school, a national key technical secondary school, was merged. The school has two campuses, Tongyu and Xinchang, covering an area of nearly 1500 mu.

The school has more than 36000 students, including more than 21000 full-time undergraduate students and 15000 adult education students.
