Shenyang Normal University

Shenyang Normal University is subordinate to the people's Government of Liaoning Province. It is a multidisciplinary university covering nine categories: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management and art.

The school was founded in 1951, formerly known as the Northeast Institute of education. In 1953, it was renamed Shenyang Normal University, which was one of the first two undergraduate normal universities in Northeast China at that time. In 1965, it was renamed Liaoning first normal university. In 1978, the name of Shenyang Normal University was restored. In 2002, the provincial government decided and approved by the Ministry of education to merge Shenyang Normal University with Liaoning Education University to form Shenyang Normal University.

The school now covers an area of 1879 mu, with a construction area of 763600 square meters and a collection of more than 1.8 million books. There are 25388 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, 2964 graduate students and 450 international students per year. At present, it has cultivated a large number of teachers and all kinds of talents with both political integrity and ability for the country, and has made important contributions to the education in Northeast China, especially in Liaoning Province.

Liaoning basic education research and training center, Liaoning Institute of education administration and Liaoning audio visual education center are located in our school. At present, the university has 26 Secondary Institutes and 13 affiliated library centers and affiliated institutions, and has two Confucius Institutes in the Middle East, namely, the Confucius Institute of St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, and the tag Confucius Institute in Amman, Jordan. At present, there are 65 undergraduate majors, 18 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 128 master's degree authorization points and 9 professional degree authorization points. It is a unit that ordinary colleges and universities recommend excellent fresh undergraduate graduates to study for master's degree without examination. It is a unit that carries out in-service personnel to apply for master's degree with the same academic capacity as graduate students. It is also a unit that accepts Chinese government scholarship for international students, It is one of the first batch of pilot units to carry out the comprehensive reform of professional degree graduate education by the Ministry of education. There are 2 provincial and ministerial key research bases, 17 provincial key research bases, 1 provincial talent training base in short supply, 1 provincial talent training and Innovation Experimental Zone, 2 provincial characteristic disciplines, 6 provincial cultivation disciplines, 4 national characteristic majors, 9 provincial demonstration majors, 9 provincial key laboratories, 2 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 5 provincial innovation teams, and 5 provincial teaching centers There are 6 learning teams. There are 10 research institutions under the University, such as Institute of educational economy and management, Institute of Chinese culture and literature, Institute of paleontology, research center of ethnic minority culture in northern China, Yansong Theater Art Research Institute, amphibian and reptile Research Institute, Mei Lanfang Art Research Institute, etc.

The school has a teaching staff with optimized professional title structure, higher education level, stronger scientific research ability, reasonable age structure, high quality and high level. There are 1745 full-time teachers, including 22 secondary professors, 256 professors and 613 associate professors. A number of national and provincial experts with outstanding contributions, famous scholars and academic leaders with important influence in China have emerged. In addition, a number of academicians of the "two academies" and experts and scholars at home and abroad with profound academic attainments have been employed as honorary professors and part-time professors of the University, and a number of foreign teachers have been employed in our university. The university has signed international academic exchange and cooperation agreements with more than 30 institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Russia, Belgium, Denmark, Australia, South Korea and other countries, and has sent teachers and students to exchange ideas, lectures and scientific research cooperation.
